Florida Declares Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR Terrorist Organisations Under DeSantis’ New Executive Order

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued Executive Order 25-244 designating the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as terrorist organisations for state policy purposes. The order instructs state agencies to block contracts, employment, or benefits for anyone providing “material support” to the groups, marking the first time a U.S. state has made such a declaration without federal concurrence. CAIR strongly condemned the move as unconstitutional, while legal experts warn the order could face immediate court challenges. The directive aligns with ongoing federal reviews ordered by President Trump regarding potential terrorist designations for Muslim Brotherhood affiliates.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Florida is designating the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as foreign terrorist organizations.

Florida agencies are hereby directed to undertake all lawful measures to prevent unlawful activities by these organizations, including denying privileges or resources to anyone providing material support.

New ISIS leader Abdul Qadir Mumin ran terror operations from a cave in Somalia after preaching in UK mosques for years.

Mumin, an orange-bearded and elusive terrorist, now commands ISIS forces from Puntland as the operational head of ISIS' General Directorate of the Provinces (GDP), which coordinates the activities of ISIS branches across the world.

Born in Somalia in the 1950s, he fled the civil war, living in a Somali area in Gothenburg, Sweden, before moving to the UK around 2000.

There, he preached at Quba Mosque in Leicester and Greenwich Mosque in London, recruiting young Britons to join Islamist terrorist groups in Somalia.

He crossed paths with notorious terrorists, including infamous Jihadi John and Lee Rigby's murderer Michael Adebolajo. Mumin left the UK in 2010, abandoning his wife and three children, who remain in Slough with no contact.

"We have not seen or heard from him in more than 10 years. We have nothing to do with him. The kids know who he is, but they don't have any contact with him either."

After returning to Somalia, he pledged allegiance to al-Shabaab, then defected to ISIS in 2015, growing its Somalian cell from 30 to around 1,200 fighters by 2024.

Somali and US forces have hunted Mumin since early 2025. Airstrikes on Puntland caves several weeks ago killed several, but Mumin remains at large.

Mumin's new position has drawn criticism from other jihadists, who claim that only an Arab descendent of Prophet Muhammed from the Quraysh tribe, can take the role as leader. They argue that Mumin's African roots disqualify him from being the leader of ISIS.

"I have been briefed on the safe return of 100 students from the Catholic School in Niger State. I rejoice with Governor Umar Bago and commend our security agencies for their steadfast work in ensuring the safe return of the students to their families since the unfortunate incident on November 21.

"My directive to our security forces remains that all the students and other abducted Nigerians across the country must be rescued and brought back home safely. We must account for all the victims. The Federal Government will continue to work with Niger State and other states to secure our schools and make the learning environment safer and more conducive for our young ones.

"From now on, our security agencies, working with the governors, must prevent future kidnappings. Our children should no longer be sitting ducks for heartless terrorists intent on disrupting their education and subjecting them and their parents to unspeakable trauma," President Tinubu said.

Use Benin-Style Military Force Against Terrorists in Nigeria, Adeyanju Urges Tinubu

Human rights activist Deji Adeyanju has called on President Bola Tinubu to apply the same decisive military strength used in stopping the failed coup in Benin Republic to crush terrorist groups operating across Nigeria. Praising Nigeria’s swift and coordinated intervention in Benin — involving Air Force jets and ground operations — Adeyanju said the same firmness is urgently needed to tackle terrorism, banditry, and violent extremism within the country. He added that Nigeria’s regional leadership means little if citizens at home continue to suffer relentless attacks, especially in the North-West, North-East and North-Central regions.

Now that the man Nigerians admire and trust, General Musa, has been appointed Minister of Defence, one uncomfortable question refuses to leave my mind:

Will he truly be able to work with the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle?

Before anyone answers that, let us remind ourselves who Oga Bello really is.

In 2021, when he was still Governor of Zamfara State, he boldly declared in a now-viral interview:
“Not all bandits are criminals.”
According to him, bandits only became violent because vigilante groups had cheated them.

But that is not even the most troubling part.

In November 2025, one of his former senior aides granted an explosive interview, alleging that Matawalle supplied 36 brand-new Toyota Hilux vehicles to notorious bandit commanders. Not only that, the aide claimed he maintained communication with these commanders even after becoming Minister.

And then came the most shocking accusation of all.

His successor, Governor Dauda Lawal, publicly accused Matawalle of harboring bandit leaders inside the Government House and diverting the resources of the state to enable banditry. He even went further to call for Matawalle’s removal from the Defence Ministry if the Federal Government is truly serious about ending terrorism and banditry.

So I ask again

General Musa may be ready to fight for Nigeria
but is everyone around him ready to fight the same enemy?

And how exactly are these appointments made without any background checks whatsoever?

This leads to the question I keep asking: can we truly separate our government from the terrorists killing us?

President Bola Tinubu has pledged N200 million to the Nigerian Legion during the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem Appeal Launch at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Emphasizing his administration’s commitment to the welfare of serving soldiers, injured personnel, and families of fallen heroes, Tinubu urged government institutions, private organizations, and citizens to support the Legion’s humanitarian mission.

Other notable donations included N100 million from the National Assembly and N20 million from FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. Tinubu praised the Nigerian Armed Forces for their courage and significant gains in combating insecurity, including the surrender of insurgents, the neutralization of terrorist leaders, and improved maritime security.
