• Wahala Don Burst: US Drops Massive Airstrikes on ISIS in Syria, Sokoto Also Hit!

Na so e be! The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) don carry out big airstrikes against ISIS targets across Syria, and Nigerians won’t forget the connection at home—Sokoto was hit too!

CENTCOM revealed on X that the strikes happened Saturday around 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time, alongside partner forces. This operation, called Operation Hawkeye Strike, started December 19, 2025, after a deadly ISIS attack near Palmyra, Syria, that killed two American soldiers and one civilian interpreter.

The US military made it clear: “If you harm our warfighters, we will find you and kill you anywhere in the world.” No shaking!

Interestingly, in December 2025, the US also conducted airstrikes in northwest Nigeria, specifically in Sokoto State, targeting ISIS-linked militants of the Islamic State-Sahel Province (ISSP) and local affiliate Lakurawa. Tomahawk missiles were reportedly used in collaboration with the Nigerian government to dismantle terrorist camps.

These operations show that the fight against terrorism is now global and local, and both the US and Nigeria are keeping the pressure on ISIS wherever they pop up.

For Nigerians, the Sokoto strike is a reminder that terrorism is a real threat, and the government is working with international partners to try to keep citizens safe.

  • Is This Crazy or Inspirational? Why Did T-Pain Buy a Private Jet for His Family—and What Does It Say About His Comeback? | Fintter

Is buying a private jet for your family a bold celebration of success—or a risky flex in an industry known for financial crashes?

Grammy-winning American rapper and singer T-Pain has set social media ablaze after surprising his mother and family with a private jet, in an emotional moment captured on video. The clip, shared on his official pages on January 6, 2026, shows the artist—real name Faheem Rashad Najm—leading his loved ones toward a sleek blue-and-white aircraft on an airport tarmac before casually revealing: he bought it for them.

His mother’s stunned reaction said it all.
“You just bought the plane?! This is crazy!” she exclaimed, as the family broke into celebration, boarding the jet and enjoying snacks and drinks inside the cabin. For T-Pain, the moment symbolised more than luxury—it was victory after years of struggle.

But the big question remains: Is this a powerful story of redemption, or a financial gamble dressed as success?

From Financial Struggles to a Private Jet

T-Pain’s lavish gift comes nearly a year after a major financial turning point. In February 2025, the rapper sold his music publishing catalogue and select master rights to HarbourView Equity Partners. He described the deal as one that would “secure wealth for generations,” marking a dramatic shift in his financial trajectory.

This move followed a difficult chapter in his career. In the late 2000s, T-Pain revealed that mismanagement of a $40 million advance had led to serious financial setbacks, despite his global fame. For years, fans watched as one of music’s most influential hitmakers appeared to fade from the spotlight.

Now, the private jet is being seen as a symbol of resurgence, redemption, and smart long-term strategy.

    A Celebration—or a Warning Sign?

Online reactions have been mixed but emotional. Many fans praised T-Pain for making his mother proud and reclaiming his place at the top. Others offered words of caution, urging him to protect his wealth, avoid unnecessary spending, and ensure the jet is used strategically—through chartering, tax planning, or business operations.

Some observers even called the purchase a “tax-savvy power move”, suggesting that with proper management, private aircraft ownership can reduce operating costs and generate income when leased.

But critics ask: In an industry filled with stories of stars who went broke after extravagant spending, is buying a private jet truly wise? Or is it a dangerous symbol of excess?

What Does This Say About Success in Music Today?

Beyond the headlines, T-Pain’s story raises deeper questions about modern celebrity wealth:

Is selling a music catalogue the smartest way for artists to secure long-term financial freedom?

Does luxury spending reflect success—or does real wealth lie in investments and sustainability?

Should public figures be celebrated for lavish displays, or for financial discipline?

Interestingly, the debate echoes comments made by Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy, who recently said he would never buy a private jet despite being able to afford one. He emphasised investments, personal growth, and long-term impact over flashy purchases.

So where does T-Pain’s decision fall—visionary or risky?

A Moment of Pride, a Test of Legacy

For T-Pain and his family, the jet is more than a machine—it is a symbol of perseverance, recovery, and gratitude. His declaration in the video, “We fing did it,”* reflects the emotional weight of overcoming past mistakes and reclaiming success.

Yet, for fans and critics alike, the story invites a broader conversation:
Is this the ultimate example of “making it,” or a reminder that wealth must be handled with extreme care?

    Discussion Starters for Fintter Readers

Is buying a private jet a smart business move or unnecessary luxury?

Did T-Pain make the right choice selling his music catalogue?

Should artists prioritise investments over high-profile purchases?

Would you rather own a jet—or build long-term passive income?

  • A woman and a man were involved in car accident.
It was a bad one, caused by the woman's reckless driving.

Both of their cars were badly damaged but amazingly neither of them was hurt.

    After they crawled out of ... cars, the woman says;
    “So, you're a man. That's interesting. I'm a woman.
Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left, but fortunately we are unhurt.

This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."

The man replied," I agree with you completely. This must be a sign from God!
The woman continued, "And look at this, here's another miracle.

My car is completely damaged, but this bottle of wine didn't break.
Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."

Then she handed the bottle over to the man.
The man nodded his head in agreement, opens it, drinks half the bottle and then handed it back to the woman.

The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and handed it back to the man.

The man asks, "Aren't you having any?"

She replies, "Nah. I think I'll just wait for the police to come and collect their evidence."
    (drunk driver's offence)

  • Benue Assembly Makes U-Turn, Confirms Law Professor As Commissioner

The Benue State House of Assembly has reversed its earlier decision and confirmed the nomination of Prof. Timothy Yangien Ornguga, a law lecturer at Benue State University, as commissioner.

Ornguga’s nomination was initially rejected last week under the leadership of the former Speaker, Aondona Dajoh. However, on Tuesday, the new Speaker, Alfred Berger, announced his confirmation alongside four other nominees after reading a fresh letter from Governor Hyacinth Alia.

Governor Alia argued that Ornguga and another nominee, James Dwem, who were earlier rejected, had not been convicted of any crimes despite petitions against them. The Assembly offered no objection when Berger confirmed them without the usual voice vote.

The House also suspended ex-Speaker Dajoh for three months over what members described as his attempt to impeach the governor. The motion for his suspension was moved by Terna Shimawua (Kyan Constituency) and seconded by James Umoru (Apa Constituency).

Interestingly, Shimawua was among lawmakers Dajoh suspended last week before resigning as Speaker. Berger, in his ruling, also reduced Dajoh’s suspension from six months to three months without putting it to a vote.

As creators we need to remind ourselves it’s not just content, comedy or laughter, we are shaping our tomorrow

We need more people like this because what becomes our norm today will be the culture and traditions of tomorrow.

I had to unfollow almost everyone, tired of seeing yansh on my timeline from creators who only care about views and lining their pockets

  • “She’s Now Hadizah” — Juma Jux Reveals as He Speaks on Priscilla’s Conversion to Islam and Why They Skipped Church Wedding.

Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has revealed intimate details about his marriage to Nigerian partner Priscilla, now known as Hadizah Mkambala, following her conversion from Christianity to Islam.

In a recent interview, Jux shared that their official union was through a Nikkah, the Islamic marriage rite, after Priscilla embraced Islam. “She changed her religion. She is now officially known as Hadizah,” he said, confirming that the Islamic ceremony marked the beginning of their life as husband and wife.

However, given Priscilla’s Christian background, Jux noted that her mother—deeply rooted in her Christian faith—requested a symbolic blessing. “Her mother said, ‘It’s okay that the marriage was already officiated and that you are Muslim, but as a parent, I want to bless the marriage in my own way."

To honor this, they held a simple outdoor event in Nigeria where a pastor offered prayers. Jux clarified it wasn’t a church wedding: “It was just a blessing.” Interestingly, when the pastor prayed, he used language typically heard at Christian wedding ceremonies.

“It sounded like the usual church vows, even though we had already done the Nikkah,” Jux said, noting that they temporarily removed their rings so they could be prayed over and blessed. When asked if it was difficult convincing Hadizah to convert, Jux admitted it wasn’t easy.

“Yes, it was a little hard. I had to learn from religious scholars how to approach her gently.” He emphasized the need for patience, saying Hadizah is still learning and adapting gradually. Jux also addressed potential family concerns, stating, “My family was already aware.

Our official marriage was the Nikkah.” Their religious ceremony took place on February 7, which now marks their anniversary. A civil wedding followed to legalize the union and secure residency documents for Hadizah in Tanzania.

  • Story: A 36yr old Nigerian man, Emmanuel Onwubiko on Student Visa has been jailed for molesting a 17yo teenager in UK.

He squeezed her thighs, touched her vajina and told her not to report because “it is a normal thing in Nigeria, and Nigerian girls don’t report”.

He had been doing this for a while.

They were both colleagues in a psychiatric home. One time when she was dressing a bed, he grabbed her from behind, squeezed her breasts, and held her bum.

The final straw was when he pinned her on a wall and aggressively rubbed her thighs and grabbed her vajina, that was when she decided to speak.

She reported to an elderly woman who informed the cops… Wait, police are actually called cops because cop means catch. Interesting. Anyways..

She had to go for a full water baptism to get cleansed because the incident affected her physically and psychologically. — He was still denying.

When her father heard it, he brutally attacked Emmanuel in the court. He suffered a nose bleed, two chipped teeth, a subdural haemorrhage. (The edit on his face). The father later got a suspended 18months in jail.

Apparently, Emmanuel’s lawyer was begging the judge because he has a wife and three kids in Nigeria. — The Judge refused.

The judge added that he will be a registered sex offender for 10yrs.

Oh, Emmanuel Onwubiko is on Student Visa hoping to do Masters in Education Arts.

  • Chasing the ‘impossible’ dream! sport and reverse migration – This is an ‘advertisement’

Reversing Nigerian migration seems impossible, but diaspora Nigerians could return, despite challenges like poor infrastructure, to build their dream Nigeria.

Ordinarily, it would seem an impossible dream that, one day, the flood of migration of Nigerians to foreign lands, particularly Europe and America, would reduce to a trickle and even be reversed. In order words, Nigerians in the Diaspora and people of Nigerian descent would choose to return Home, back to ‘no power’, ‘no roads’, ‘no medical facilities’, no this, no that, and start to built and create the Nigeria of their dream.

Nigeria, a place where little seems to work despite its over abundance of human and mineral resources, has not been the most attractive place to return to for its young and educated citizens, upon whom such an ‘impossible’ possibility depends.

The migration abroad has been a one way street. Beyond the millions of Nigerians that died in the forceful crossing of the Atlantic Ocean into slavery some five centuries ago, there are now additional Millions voluntarily running away from the hardships at Home and migrating, by all means, in search of a better life to countries all over the world.

Interestingly, these young, mostly educated, rather loud and aggressive people are making substantial contributions to their host countries. The best of them are found in academics, the sciences, medicine, technology, business, the arts, politics, entertainment, and sport.

Of course, the Sport interests me. Until a few months ago, the thought of an average Nigerian in Europe and America returning Home was remote. The hard and harsh economic situation at home would not allow such idle thoughts.
