• South Uneme Leaders Pledge 100% Support for Tinubu and Okpebholo Ahead of 2027 Elections

The people of South Uneme communities in Edo North have declared unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, vowing to deliver 100% of the votes in their domain during the 2027 general elections.

The community leaders, under the aegis of the South Uneme Leaders Forum, also reaffirmed their backing for Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, and Senator Adams Oshiomhole, commending their grassroots development strides.

At a high-powered meeting held in Fugar, the forum passed a vote of confidence in Governor Okpebholo and Senator Oshiomhole. They hailed President Tinubu for his economic stabilisation efforts and pledged full mobilisation for his re-election.

The Secretary of the Forum and former Etsako Central LGA Chairman, Ambrose Kevin Akhigbe, highlighted Oshiomhole’s recognition as “Ozemoya of South Uneme” for constructing the 30km Anegbette–Uzanu road and appointing indigenes into strategic positions.

He disclosed that the forum resolved to embark on massive voter mobilisation, participate actively in the 2025 INEC Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), and ensure electoral unity ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting drew top leaders including:

    Dr. Aliyu Umaru (Forum Chairman)

Yakubu Cephas Mohammed (Acting Chairman, Etsako Central LGA)

    Suleiman Bagudu (former council chairman)

    Alhaji Inusa Azimih (business mogul)

    Mohammed Okpafi (APC zonal leader)
…alongside women, youth, religious, and community leaders.

  • Tinubu Will Sweep 2027 Election Even If Jonathan Runs — Rep Abejide Predicts Landslide Victory

Leke Abejide, House of Representatives member for Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopamuro Federal Constituency in Kogi State, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu would secure a decisive win in 2027 — even against former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking on the Mic On podcast, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain projected Tinubu would win over 32 states, possibly losing only in Anambra and Abia, but even clinching Ebonyi.

“My prayer is that they should run like that (on different platforms), and Asiwaju will win 32 states. He may lose maybe Anambra, Abia; he will win Ebonyi — maybe more than 32 states,” Abejide said.

He credited Tinubu’s growing popularity to notable improvements in infrastructure and security. Citing his recent travels across Kano, Kaduna, and Abuja, Abejide claimed that roads were safer, rail transport was efficient, and public sentiment was positive.

With speculation rising about Jonathan’s potential comeback bid, Abejide believes such a move would only strengthen Tinubu’s victory chances.

  • Bwala: Tinubu Unshaken by 2027 Political Plots, Driven by Courage and Collaboration

Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is unfazed by alleged political moves to unseat him in the 2027 elections.

In a statement on X, Bwala praised Tinubu’s courage in making tough reform-driven decisions, his discipline in demanding excellence, and his strong will to do what’s right. He also described the president as open-minded, forgiving, and deeply committed to empowering others — traits he said Tinubu inherited from his late mother, a market women leader.

Bwala likened Tinubu’s belief in teamwork to Abraham Lincoln’s philosophy, stressing that the president’s collaborative spirit and selflessness are unmatched by his opponents.

“These qualities are why he remains calm and unshaken despite any conspiracy ahead of 2027,” Bwala stated.

  • 2027: PDP Warns Governors, Chieftains Backing Tinubu
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has threatened sanctions against members endorsing President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, calling such moves “anti-party” and a breach of its constitution.

In a statement, National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba said the actions of some prominent members — including Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and ex-Ekiti governor Ayodele Fayose — violate Section 10(6) of the PDP constitution, which forbids aligning with other parties to undermine the PDP. The National Working Committee urged members to remain loyal ahead of the party’s November national convention in Ibadan.

  • 2027 Elections: PDP Warns Tinubu—“Defections Won’t Win You Votes”

As Nigeria’s political landscape heats up ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC): the next election will be decided by governance, not by political defections.

Speaking on AIT’s Focus Nigeria, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, criticized the APC’s celebration of recent high-profile defections from opposition parties, including those of former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and several National Assembly members. Ologunagba argued that these defections are not indicative of genuine political support but are instead a result of coercion and a misguided attempt to create a one-party state.

“When you find the president of a country in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural country like Nigeria declaring his preference for a one-party state, that shows that they continue to aggressively attack the processes of other political parties,” Ologunagba stated. He emphasized that the APC’s focus on defections is a distraction from its governance record, which will be the true determinant in the upcoming elections.

This warning comes amid the APC’s official endorsement of President Tinubu for re-election in 2027, despite ongoing criticisms of his administration’s economic reforms and handling of security issues. While the APC touts these reforms as revitalizing the economy, many Nigerians have expressed concerns over the resulting cost-of-living crisis.

As the 2027 elections approach, the PDP’s message is clear: the electorate will be evaluating the APC based on its performance in office, not the number of politicians it can attract from other parties.
