• “Leave Me Alone and Move On!” — Regina Daniels Sends Strong Message to Estranged Husband Ned Nwoko

According to Leadership News, Nollywood star Regina Daniels has openly called on her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, to stop interfering in her personal affairs and allow her to live in peace.

In her strongly worded message, Regina urged the senator to act on his previous claims of marrying another wife instead of continually dragging her into conflicts that she believes should have ended after their separation.

Regina expressed frustration over what she sees as unnecessary intrusion, saying Nwoko should “just marry a new wife and leave me alone — isn’t that what you said you would do? Use that one to console yourself.”

Her remarks indicate that she feels the senator has crossed boundaries by staying involved in her life post-breakup, and she wants him to respect his own statements and move forward independently.

The actress didn’t stop there. She also criticized Nwoko’s priorities, stating that instead of focusing on his responsibilities as an elected senator, he has shifted his energy toward monitoring her.

    Regina pointedly stated:
“People of Delta North, your senator has left his responsibilities and focused on small me.”

Her comments have sparked fresh conversations online, with many reacting to the escalating tension between the former couple.

  • OBJ: I Kept Quiet So The World'll Know The Difference Between A Sane And Mad Man That You Are–Fayose.

According to a report by Leadership News on Monday, November 17, 2025, Ayo Fayose, former Ekiti State Governor, has become the centre of a new political controversy after a leaked message reportedly showed him directing a harsh personal remark at Olusegun Obasanjo, who once served as Nigeria’s President.

The message became public on Monday and it has stirred renewed attention around both political figures as it followed Fayose’s recent birthday celebration where Obasanjo was present.

The leaked message was said to be a short message sent by Fayose after the event, expressing displeasure concerning comments allegedly made by Obasanjo during the gathering.

Fayose reportedly expressed strong dissatisfaction and described Obasanjo in a manner that suggested he viewed him as unfit for dignified public reference, the language used in the message was viewed as extremely strong and personal.

The content of the message became public after it was released to journalists in Abeokuta.

The disclosure added more interest to the incident as it involved two well-known political names who have a long history of disagreements.

The release of the message also changed what may have been considered a private exchange into a matter of national interest.

Fayose reportedly stated that he had chosen silence during the celebration to avoid a public argument.

Obiano expressed his dismay at the rumours' persistence, saying that certain people persist in spreading lies without providing any evidence. According to him, he and his family are unconcerned about the allegations, and he is still in good health.

Obiano urged people to disregard the rumours and pay attention to the truth. The ex-governor emphasised the significance of ethical online communication in the social media post.

  • Nigerian govt aware of policies fueling Christian persecution, chooses media manipulation – Ted Cruz.

United States Senator, Ted Cruz has claimed that the Nigerian government is aware of policies fueling alleged Christian persecution in Nigeria, but chooses media manipulation over accountability.

In a statement he posted on his X account on Friday, Cruz also warned about a PR campaign being waged by the Nigerian government to fight the accusations.

“Nigerian officials know their policies have created an environment in which Christians are being persecuted and slaughtered, including their enforcement of sharia law and their tolerance of Islamist violence,” Cruz said (via Fox News Digital).

“Instead of reversing these policies, they are waging a media campaign to escape exposure and accountability. I intend to prevent them from doing so.”

This is coming after the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, Yusuf Tuggar, recently spoke on the alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

United States President Donald Trump had designated Nigeria as a country of particular concern a few weeks ago.

Trump cited what he described as ongoing violence against Christians and the failure of the Nigerian government to protect religious minorities.

The US leader also said he had asked the Department of Defense to prepare for possible military action in Nigeria if the Nigerian government “continues to allow the killing of Christians.”

But the Nigerian government has strongly denied the persecution of any religious groups in the country

  • I Don’t Have Any Problem With The Military” – Wike Speaks After Clash With Soldiers In Abuja.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dispelled any claims of a misunderstanding between himself and the Nigerian military.

According to Wike, who spoke with newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, he has no problem and would never have a problem with the military.

His comments follow the altercation between him and an officer of the Nigerian Navy on Tuesday over the legality of an ongoing development of a land in Abuja, which has since snowballed into a matter of national discourse.

However, in his chat with newsmen on Thursday, the FCT Minister stated that claims in certain quarters about a fallout between him and the Nigerian military are false, mischievous, and unfounded.

He submitted that the Armed Forces is an institution he has utmost respect for, adding that his administration has remained steadfast in supporting military operations within the FCT and across Nigeria.

“Let me make it clear I do not have any problem with the military and will never have. I have great respect for the institution and for the sacrifices they make to keep our nation safe,” he said.

Addressing his comments during the heated confrontation which broke out on Tuesday in Abuja after soldiers prevented him and his entourage from accessing a parcel of land in the Gaduwa district, Wike said his words were taken out of context as he was only advocating for lawful conduct and adherence to constitutional principles by all security operatives.

“What I said was simple no officer or individual should carry out an illegal order. If an instruction is unlawful, you have the right to say no. That does not mean I have a problem with the military.

  • Mohbad’s Family Renews Call for Probe, Bars His Widow from Using ‘Aloba’ Pending DNA Test.

The family of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has renewed its call for a transparent and independent probe into his d+ath while directing his wife, Wunmi, to stop using the family surname pending the result of a court-ordered DNA test.

In a statement signed by family head Omolayo Aloba and Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, the family said it remained “resolute in its demand for a transparent, independent, and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.”

It announced the appointment of Oladayo Ogungbe, Esq., as the family’s sole legal representative for estate and DNA matters, while Dr. Wahab Shittu, SAN, will continue to represent them before investigative authorities.

Three administrators — Ajewole Aloba, Rasaq Famuyiwa, and Alonge Aloba — were named to manage the late singer’s assets, with one slot left for Wunmi if the DNA test confirms that her son, Liam, is Mohbad’s biological child.

The family also instructed Wunmi to “cease using the surname Aloba in public or private records until lawful confirmation of paternity is obtained,” noting that “no statutory or customary marriage was contracted between the late Mohbad and Wunmi Adebanjo.”

Reacting, Wunmi’s lawyer, Kabir Akingbolu, described the directive as illegal and sentimental, saying, “Nobody can stop her from bearing Aloba. That is the name given to her by her husband, and under the law, she has every right to keep it.”

He accused the Aloba family of frustrating the DNA process despite multiple court orders, adding, “We are ready for the DNA any time, any day. The child is not a bastard, and my client has nothing to fear.”

Mohbad, a former Marlian Music signee, who is yet to be buried,  died on September 12, 2023, at 27. The Lagos State Police Command had earlier inaugurated a 13-man team to probe his death.

  • “No Bloodshed!” — Historian Reveals How Gowon’s Final Words During 1975 Coup Showed His True Love for Peace

In a recent interview on the Edmund Obilo Show, historian and author Adebayo Adeolu, who wrote “Sani Abacha: Nigeria’s Most Powerful Defence Minister and Head of State,” revealed a powerful and often-overlooked detail about General Yakubu Gowon’s fall from power in 1975.

Adeolu disclosed that when news of the coup reached Gowon, the then Head of State ordered his aides and security personnel not to resist or spill any blood.

“When Gowon was going to be overthrown, he said, ‘make sure nobody’s killed, we have seen enough of it,’” Adeolu quoted.

According to the historian, Gowon’s reaction reflected his deep weariness with Nigeria’s cycles of violence — particularly after the Nigerian Civil War (1967–1970), which he had led. Instead of clinging to power, Gowon chose peace over conflict, showing a level of restraint rare among military rulers of his time.

“That single moment showed Gowon’s moral strength and his genuine desire for a peaceful Nigeria,” Adeolu said, describing the act as one of the most humane moments in Nigeria’s military history.

Gowon, who was attending the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) Summit in Uganda when he was ousted, quietly accepted his removal and later devoted his life to reconciliation and peacebuilding — cementing his reputation as a statesman of grace and humility.

  • Chidoka Slams Wike Over Verbal Clash With Soldier, Calls It “Grave Error in Judgment”

According to a report by Vanguard News on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has strongly criticised FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for verbally attacking a military officer during a confrontation in Gaduwa District, Abuja, describing the act as a serious lapse in judgment and a breach of protocol.

In a viral video making rounds online, Wike was seen engaging in a heated exchange with a uniformed officer, accusing him of illegally protecting a disputed plot of land allegedly linked to a former Chief of Naval Staff — even calling the officer a fool.

Reacting through a statement titled “Minister Wike: Power, Process, and the Rule of Law,” Chidoka said the minister’s outburst was disrespectful to the Nigerian state and undermined the authority of uniformed officers, who represent the President and national sovereignty.

“Every law enforcement officer embodies the authority of the Nigerian state. To insult one is to insult the nation itself,” Chidoka asserted.

He stressed that Wike’s direct involvement in the confrontation was a constitutional misstep, noting that in a democracy, power must be exercised through institutions, not through personal showdowns.

According to Chidoka, if the officers were acting outside their mandate, the proper step would have been a formal communication to the Minister of Defence, not public humiliation.

He further warned that public disputes between ministers and uniformed officers weaken discipline within the military and blur the lines of command and respect.

“A minister’s power lies in process, not in display,” Chidoka said, urging Wike to apologise for his language and uphold the dignity of his office.

Chidoka also faulted the DSS personnel attached to Wike for failing to de-escalate the tension, insisting their duty was to protect the minister — not to fuel the confrontation.

He concluded that the incident should serve as a lesson in restraint and governance, reminding public officials that true authority is exercised through due process, not personal confrontation.

  • Details of Conversation between FCT minister Wike and Naval Officer Emerge.

A heated verbal confrontation erupted on Tuesday between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and an unidentified uniformed officer during a visit to a disputed estate in the Gaduwa area of Abuja.

Video of the incident shows Wike accusing the officer and soldiers guarding the site of obstructing the FCT Administration’s work and laying claim to the parcel of land.

In the exchange, Wike orders the officer to “shut up,” calls him “a big fool,” and repeatedly reminds him that he was already in school long before the officer was born. The officer responded that he would not be shut up, insisting he was “an officer” acting on instructions and that he had integrity.

The altercation occurred amid intensified FCT efforts to clamp down on alleged illegal land allocations and encroachments in the capital.

Multiple news outlets say the minister’s convoy was briefly blocked at the site before the verbal clash, which has since been widely shared on social media. Officials from the FCTA and military sources were yet to release matching public statements at the time of reporting.

  • The urump Threatens $1bn Lawsuit Against BBC Over Edited Documentary Clip.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to sue the BBC for $1 billion, claiming the broadcaster aired an edited clip that misrepresented his remarks and damaged his reputation.

In a letter sent by Trump’s lawyer, Alejandro Brito, the BBC was asked to retract what were described as “false, defamatory, disparaging, misleading, and inflammatory statements” in a Panorama documentary aired shortly before the 2024 U.S. election. The letter demands a “full and fair” retraction and compensation by Friday or face legal action in Florida.

“The BBC is on notice. PLEASE GOVERN YOURSELF ACCORDINGLY,” the letter reads.

A BBC spokesperson said the network is reviewing the letter and will “respond directly in due course.”

The documentary, titled Trump: A Second Chance?, faced backlash after an internal memo suggested Trump’s comments were edited to make it seem he directly encouraged the January 6 Capitol riot. In the aired clip, Trump is shown saying, “We fight like hell,” right after telling supporters, “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol.”
The memo stated the “fight like hell” remark was actually made nearly an hour later, after Trump urged supporters to cheer for “our brave senators and congressmen and women.”

The controversy led to the resignations of BBC Director-General Tim Davie and head of news Deborah Turness. Trump welcomed the resignations on Truth Social, calling the officials “corrupt” and “very dishonest people.”

However, legal experts say Trump may struggle to win the case due to strong U.S. free speech protections. Media law scholar Kyu Ho Youm said he is “very doubtful” Trump would succeed, adding: “If there’s no actionable falsity, 1st Amendment law is irrelevant.”

BBC chair Samir Shah acknowledged the clip was misleading and apologized for the “error of judgement,” but denied claims of wider institutional bias.

  • NewsAmerica sneezes, Nigeria catches fever – Ejiofor reveals why Trump’s move angers politicians.

Social critic and legal practitioner, Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor says Nigerian politicians are angry over President Donald Trump’s decision to wipe out terrorists from the country mainly for self-preservation.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Saturday, the lawyer said “many people have turned insecurity into a thriving enterprise”.

He opined that those “crying foul” since Trump designated Nigeria as Country of Particular Concerns and threatened military action over alleged Christian genocide “are simply afraid of losing their political bargaining chip”.

He said, “America sneezes and Nigeria catches a fever. When Donald Trump recently declared his intention to “wipe out the monsters committing genocide against Christians in Nigeria”, you could almost hear the political class jump in unison.

“Suddenly, we became born-again defenders of sovereignty, those that failed to protect children in Chibok, girls in Dapchi, or farmers in Benue. How convenient!

“Let’s be clear: the noise isn’t about patriotism. It’s about self-preservation. Too many people have turned insecurity into a thriving enterprise: those who negotiate ransoms, those who supply arms, those who collect “security votes” without securing anything, and those who profit politically from fear”.

According to the lawyer, the “prospect of a foreign force dismantling this network terrifies them, not because they love Nigeria, but because it would collapse their cash cow.

“The world knew the scale of our tragedy long before any single politician made headlines. Human-rights organisations and investigators have documented widespread atrocities and urged accountability. Thousands of lives have been lost, millions displaced, and entire communities erased from maps. The evidence is on every Nigerian lip, every burnt village, and every weeping IDP camp.

  • NAF Bombs Several ISWAP Terrorists, Bandits To Death In Multiple Airstrikes.

Air strikes carried out by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have resulted in the killing of several terrorists and bandits across the country and the destruction of their hideouts.

According to a statement on Monday by the NAF Spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, scores of Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, Borno State, as well as bandits’ enclaves in Garin Dandi and Chigogo, Kwara State, as well as Zango Hill in Kankara local government area of Katsina State, were affected by the strikes.

He added that the coordinated missions were carried out on November 9, 2025, based on credible intelligence on the movement and activities of the criminals.

Ejodame said the missions represent a decisive phase in ongoing joint operations under Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Fansan Yamma, aimed at degrading terrorists and criminal networks across Nigeria’s northern theatres.

News reports that the NAF airstrikes dealt a heavy blow to ISWAP terrorists entrenched in the Northern Tumbuns of Borno State.

According to the NAF spokesman, the Air Component guided by real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) feeds conducted precision strikes southeast of Shuwaram before shifting to Mallam Fatori, where ISWAP elements were observed mobilising with motorcycles and boats along the Lake Chad Basin.

According to him, the strikes destroyed the insurgent hideouts, logistics hubs, and weapons storage facilities, eliminating several terrorists and crippling their mobility capabilities.

“Post-strike assessments confirmed multiple neutralizations and a significant degradation of ISWAP’s operational networks in the area,” he said.

Similarly, NAF aircraft carried out precision air interdiction missions over Garin Dandi and Chigogo in Kwara State, striking bandits,’ camps with devastating accuracy based on credible intelligence.

He said the attacks caused panic in the enemy camp and inflicted heavy losses among the criminals.

In a related operation, air assets under Operation Fansan Yamma struck Zango Hill in Kankara LGA, Katsina State, the hideout of a terrorist kingpin and his fighters.

Ejodame said the aircraft guided by actionable intelligence and ISR surveillance, executed multiple attack passes, destroying key logistics hubs and neutralizing several terrorists in one of the most decisive strikes in the region.

Furthermore, the Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma (Sector 1) conducted an Armed Reconnaissance mission across the northwest corridor, covering key settlements in Zamfara, Kebbi, and Kaduna States, including Kakihum, Dankolo, Kotonkoro, and Kuyello.

Ejodame said the locations served as known routes and hideouts for armed groups along the Birnin Gwari–Funtua axis.

“During the mission, coordination with Forward Operating Bases at Dankolo and Kotonkoro revealed suspicious movement near Wam Hill, where terrorists on motorcycles were spotted attempting to flee. The aircrew swiftly engaged and neutralized the targets, with no further hostile activity observed,” he said.

  • BBC Director-General Tim Davie has resigned following controversy over a Panorama documentary that allegedly misrepresented a speech by former U.S. President Donald Trump. The programme spliced clips from Trump’s January 6, 2021, speech, making it appear he urged supporters to “fight like hell” during the Capitol riot. The unedited version, however, showed him calling for peaceful support of lawmakers.

Davie and BBC News head Deborah Turness stepped down amid accusations of bias and calls for accountability. UK Culture Minister Lisa Nandy described the allegations as “incredibly serious,” while Trump celebrated the resignations, calling the journalists “corrupt.”

The BBC has pledged a full response to parliament’s culture, media, and sport committee. The row adds to recent criticisms of the broadcaster’s editorial standards, including previous controversies over coverage of Gaza and other sensitive topics.

  • Trump Reacts After BBC Sack News Heads Over Isreal-Hamas War Criticism.

Following accusations of bias at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and specific criticism over the editing of a speech made by U.S. President Donald Trump, the BBC’s head of news, Tim Davie, vacated his position on Sunday.

mounting pressure after an internal report by a former standards adviser was leaked to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, which cited failings in its coverage of the Israel-Hamas war, transgender issues and a speech made by Trump.
Trump welcomed the departures, criticising the two as “very dishonest people” after the BBC’s flagship Panorama programme edited two parts of one of his speeches together so he appeared to be encouraging the Capitol Hill riot of January 2021.

Trump wrote, “The TOP people in the BBC, including TIM DAVIE the BOSS, are all quitting/FIRED, because they were caught “doctoring” my very good (PERFECT!) speech of January 6th. Thank you to The Telegraph for exposing these Corrupt “Journalists.”
“These are very dishonest people who tried to step on the scales of a Presidential Election. On top of everything else, they are from a Foreign Country one that many consider our Number One Ally. What a terrible thing for Democracy!”
