• Abdullah Trained Amina Through School — Then Watched Her Marry Another Man

Abdullah was not a wealthy man, but he was hardworking and hopeful. When he met Amina, she was young, focused, and determined to change her life through education. He saw potential in her long before others did, and he chose to stand by her.

From secondary school through higher education, Abdullah paid Amina’s school fees, bought her books, and supported her daily needs. He made sacrifices quietly, often putting his own dreams on hold so she could pursue hers. To Abdullah, it was more than support — it was love, commitment, and belief in a future they would share.

As the years passed and Amina approached graduation, things slowly began to change. The warmth in their conversations faded. Messages became less frequent. The bond that once felt unbreakable began to feel distant.

Not long after Amina completed her studies, the news reached Abdullah — she was getting married to another man. There was no warning, no honest conversation beforehand. The announcement came like a sudden storm, leaving Abdullah with questions that had no answers.

To Amina, her decision may have been shaped by personal reasons, family expectations, or a different vision for her life. To Abdullah, it felt like a deep betrayal — not just of love, but of the years of sacrifice he made with sincere intentions.

This story is not only about heartbreak; it is about expectations and unspoken assumptions. It reminds us that support, no matter how genuine, does not guarantee commitment. Love must be freely chosen, not implied through sacrifice.

In the end, Abdullah learned a painful but necessary lesson: helping someone rise does not always mean they will remain by your side. Sometimes, you are part of someone’s journey, not their destination.

He walked away hurt, wiser, and stronger — carrying a truth many discover too late: true love is built on mutual choice, not obligation.

...Directs Immediate Investigation, Emergency Relief Measures

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has expressed deep sorrow and devastation over the tragic fire outbreak that gutted a section of the main Timber Market ( Kasuwar Katako) along the Railway Station in Gombe, which destroyed shops, goods and means of livelihood of many traders and business owners.

The Governor described the incident as painful and distressing, noting that the scale of destruction is a huge setback to hardworking men and women who depend on the market for their daily sustenance.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya extended his heartfelt sympathy to affected shop owners, traders and all individuals who suffered losses as a result of the inferno, assuring them that the government stands firmly with them at this difficult moment.

In response to the incident, the Governor has directed the Gombe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other relevant agencies to immediately move in, conduct a thorough assessment and investigation into the cause of the fire, and provide urgent relief and support to cushion the impact on victims.

He commended the Gombe State Fire Service, fire fighters from Gombe State University (GSU), the Federal Fire Service, private tanker operators as well Security agencies and Nigerian Red Cross Society for their swift response which helped in bringing the fire under control and preventing further damage.

While sympathising with the victims, Governor Inuwa Yahaya called on those affected to remain calm, assuring them that government will take necessary steps to mitigate their losses and strengthen preventive measures to avert future occurrences.

The Governor also reiterated his administration’s resolve to establish a state-of-the-art fire service office, fully equipped to complement existing fire-fighting facilities across the state, in line with his commitment to protect lives, property and investments.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya was equally informed of an accident involving one of the fire-fighting trucks while responding to the emergency. He expressed sympathy to those involved and prayed for their quick recovery.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya prayed to Almighty Allah for continued protection over Gombe State, its people and their means of livelihood, and for comfort and strength for all those affected by this unfortunate incident.

  • “Presidential Villa Is for Serious Leaders, Not Drunkards” — APC’s Jarrett Tennebe Dismisses Fears Over Jonathan’s 2027 Comeback

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jarrett Tennebe, has responded to speculations that members of the ruling party fear a possible 2027 presidential comeback by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking in an interview with TVC News, Tennebe made it clear that the APC has nothing to worry about, emphasizing that the presidential villa is now reserved for “serious-minded leaders” — not for those who take governance lightly.

“I don’t think anybody is scared of former President Jonathan should he decide to run for the presidency in 2027,”
    — Jarrett Tennebe, APC Member

Tennebe praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a focused and hardworking leader whose policies are already yielding positive results for Nigeria’s economy and citizens.

“The presidential villa now is not for drinking of roots; it’s not for drunkards. The person there now is serious-minded and doing his job,” he added.

He further cast doubt on Jonathan’s political influence, claiming that even in his South-South base, the former president might struggle to secure more than 5,000 votes.

Concluding, Tennebe reaffirmed that the APC remains confident in its leadership and has no fears about any potential challenger as 2027 approaches.

  • Nkechi Blessing Fires Back at Critics, Says Her Investments Speak Louder Than Social Media

Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has addressed what she described as persistent attempts by certain individuals to undermine her success.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the actress made it clear that while she dislikes bragging, her financial strength and business investments remain undeniable.

“With all the ganging up, none of you have the kind of money I do. I hate bragging, but God knows if we decide to bring out investments, none of you will make the list. Only lies and unreal life for Instagram,” she wrote.

Nkechi stressed that true wealth comes from discipline, hard work, and wise investment decisions, not the carefully crafted images people flaunt online. She credited her achievements to years of consistency, dedication, and smart financial choices.

Over the past decade, Nkechi has grown into one of Nollywood’s prominent faces, featuring in several movies and TV productions. Beyond acting, she has built a reputation as a businesswoman with ventures in beauty products and real estate, cementing her influence as both an entertainer and entrepreneur.

Her strong social media presence has helped her connect with fans and spark conversations on lifestyle and culture. However, her latest remarks reflect the pressures of navigating fame in a competitive industry.

The post has since stirred mixed reactions online. Some applauded her confidence, while others suggested she doesn’t need to prove her success with words.

    One supporter wrote:

“Nkechi is not lying. She has always been hardworking and open about her hustle. People should stop attacking her.”

    But a critic countered:

“She doesn’t need to prove anything. If she is truly wealthy, her success should speak for itself, not her words.”

  • How Robbers Killed Man 4 Months after Wedding in Kogi.

Barely four months after his wedding ceremony, suspected armed robbers last Thursday shot and killed a young man, Mr. Durojaiye Folusho, from Aiyetoro Kiri in the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Local residents narrated the unfortunate occurred at the victim’s farm on the outskirts of the community, where the transporter had gone to tend to his crops.

Folusho, who was known as a hardworking transporter on the Kiri–Kabba route, married in April.

“The young man just married a woman from a neighboring local government area in April. He is a popular transporter in our community, known for avoiding unnecessary risks, such as traveling alone at night,” said Emmanuel, a close friend and resident.

“He had gone to his farm when an unknown number of armed men attacked and killed him in the afternoon on Thursday. His body was later recovered on the farm and taken to Kabba,” his friend added.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Aya, did not respond to a text message regarding the incident as of the time of filing this report.

However, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has condemned the killing, describing it as tragic and senseless.

In a statement signed by Kinsley Fanwo, the state Commissioner of Information and Communication, the governor noted that “the loss of a valued member of the community under such violent circumstances is distressing, and we share in their grief.”

Governor Ododo has directed all relevant security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend those responsible for the “heinous act” and has mandated a “thorough and expedited investigation to ensure justice is served.”

  • FCT police arrest suspected one-chance syndicate behind k!lling of 23-year-old lady.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested three suspected members of a notorious “one-chance” robbery syndicate allegedly responsible for the abduction and k!lling of 23-year-old woman, Grace Godwin Alewa.

LIB reported that her lifeless body was discovered along Abubakar Street, Alex Ekwueme District, Jabi on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

The tragic incident occurred on Friday, July 11, when Grace, a petrol station attendant working in Abuja, boarded a commercial vehicle on her way home from work, unaware that it was operated by kidnappers posing as commercial drivers and passengers.

Grace, who hailed from Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State, was reportedly abducted and dispossessed of her belongings.

The kidnappers subsequently contacted her family, demanding a ransom of N1 million for her release.

It remains unclear whether the ransom was paid or negotiations were still ongoing, but Grace was eventually k!lled and her body dumped by the roadside in Jabi.

She was found the following morning at about 6:00 a.m., and though rushed to a nearby hospital by the police, she was pronounced d3ad on arrival.

The case drew public outrage, particularly after misleading social media narratives suggested she had been involved in a transactional relationship, claims which were debunked by her family and colleagues who insisted she was a hardworking young woman returning from work.

Following the incident, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, ordered a tactical manhunt and charged operatives to intensify efforts to apprehend criminal gangs operating “one-chance” vehicles in the capital.

Acting on the directive, the Scorpion Squad, led by ACP Victor Godfrey, conducted a series of intelligence-driven raids between July 12 and 26, which culminated in the arrest of three suspects: Sunday Uduma a.k.a. Akidi, 39, from Ohafia LGA, Abia State, Godwin Eze, 39, from Cross River State, Nnaiji Ikenna, 33, from Imo State.

Police sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that the arrests were made through “actionable reconstructive digital intelligence,” and that the suspects have made useful confessional statements linking them to the crime.

Meanwhile, rapper CDQ disclosed that Davido once tried to sign him to his label, offering to pour tour profits into building CDQ into Africa’s biggest rapper. But when Masterkraft proposed a partnership deal instead of a traditional contract, Davido declined, and the plan collapsed.

Two stories. One global superstar. One almost-signing. A peek behind the curtain of hustle, heart, and hard choices. #Davido #OBO #HardWorkAndMentalHealth #AfrobeatsIcon

  • Unizik Law Student Dies After Hostel Reportedly Denies Her Access to insulin.

Ajana Chioma Isabella, a promising law student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), has tragically died after allegedly being denied access to her insulin by the management of Elmada Hostel, where she resided.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for justice and accountability. According to multiple reports from fellow students and concerned witnesses, Isabella who had chronic diabetes and relied on ins¥lin was locked out of her room after the door jammed with her key still inside.

When she sought help from hostel management and requested a spare key, she was allegedly told she would have to pay a high fee for a replacement, despite claims that a spare was available. The hostel reportedly cited a rigid policy requiring payment for any lost key, regardless of the situation, and branded Isabella “careless.”

For three days, she was reportedly denied access to her room, despite repeatedly explaining that her life-saving medication was inside.

As her condition worsened, Isabella collapsed and was rushed to the hospital in hypoglycemic shock. She d+ed a few days later.

The incident has ignited a social media uproar, with the hashtag trending as students and activists condemn the hostel’s handling of the situation. One user shared a similar experience of being denied room access for a week and being charged ₦90,000 to force open their door. Isabella was reportedly set to be called to the Nigerian Law School bar within days, a major milestone in her academic journey.

Friends and classmates have remembered her as vibrant, hardworking, and full of hope for the future. Her death has raised serious concerns about student welfare and the responsibilities of hostel managements.

Student leaders and the wider university community are now demanding a full investigation into Elmada Hostel’s policies and actions, and for those responsible to be held accountable.

In a powerful message to the youth, Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has called on students across the state to resist the growing temptation of chasing quick wealth. Speaking at a recent education-focused event, Governor Soludo emphasized that true success can only be attained through hard work, discipline, and dedication.
