  • "TINUBU MUST NOT SLEEP BECAUSE MISTAKES ARE BEING MADE ALREADY"- PRIMATE AYODELE.

According to a report by The Nation, Primate Elijah Ayodele, who leads the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a cautionary note to opposition politicians considering the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) as their main platform. He expressed doubts about ADA’s capacity to organize effectively, suggesting the coalition lacks sufficient structure and popular support to contest at the national level.

Speaking on Tuesday, Ayodele pointed out that ADA offers limited strategic advantages for parties seeking to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress. He maintained that without a clear agenda, logistical backing, and grassroots networks, the coalition is unlikely to translate its political rhetoric into real electoral gains across the country.

He also discouraged framing the coalition around the Social Democratic Party (SDP), arguing that the SDP’s current structure remains too narrow and its membership base too small to form the backbone of a national alliance. In his view, relying on SDP resources could result in organizational gaps and hinder coordinated campaigning efforts in key states.

Turning to the ruling All Progressives Congress, Ayodele warned of emerging mistakes within the party’s leadership structure and campaign planning. He cited concerns over internal divisions, contentious candidate selection processes, and growing public dissatisfaction with governance performance—factors that, if unaddressed, could erode the APC’s support base ahead of the 2027 polls.

Specifically, Ayodele urged President Bola Tinubu to remain vigilant and address these vulnerabilities without delay. He emphasized that prompt corrective measures—such as transparent decision making, inclusive dialogue, and policy adjustments—will be essential to bolster party unity, restore voter confidence, and secure a competitive edge in the next electoral cycle.

He said: Tinubu must not sleep because mistakes are being made already. I see serious problems in the party, but they are not yet seeing it.”

  • "BEWARE OF MILITARY TAKEOVER"- BODE GEORGE WARNS TINUBU.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has warned President Bola Tinubu against actions that could trigger a military takeover in Nigeria.

George gave the warning while speaking to journalists on Monday after being blocked by police officers from entering the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that security lockdown disrupted the party’s scheduled National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) meetings.

“It’s strikingly annoying. This is our property. Was there any court order to say we will not hold our meeting in our office? What is going on? I was a young man in 1962 when it all started in the South West. We must avoid that madness. What is it? Can’t we sit and talk? What is the essence of democracy?” George said.

The PDP leader referenced the 1962 Western Region crisis, where internal party conflicts led to the declaration of a state of emergency and a federal government takeover of the Western Region—an event that marked the beginning of political instability in the country.

“Nigerians are watching, you came to our office, surrounded by police because we want to have a meeting? You want to turn us to North Korea or turn this country to Russia? We will not allow it, Nigerians will not allow it,” he added.

Monday morning saw a heavy police presence at the PDP headquarters in Wadata Plaza, Abuja. Officers barricaded the entrance and prevented party leaders, staff, and BoT members from accessing the NEC hall.

The PDP later relocated its BoT meeting to an alternative venue.

  • MC Oluomo Promised Us ₦1.5m Each for Tinubu’s Campaign But Paid Nothing — Actor Lalude.

Veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Adekunle Adetayo, widely known as Lalude, has publicly called out the president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, for allegedly failing to fulfil financial promises made to entertainers who supported President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the 2023 general elections.

Appearing on a recent episode of the Beyond the Fame podcast, Lalude expressed his deep disappointment, revealing that he and fellow celebrities were promised ₦1.5 million each by MC Oluomo, but never received any payment.

According to the actor, who is renowned for his traditional priest roles in Yoruba films, he and others, including comic actor Ganiu ‘Alapini’ Nafiu, were camped for over seven weeks, campaigning daily without proper compensation.

“At first, they gave us ₦10,000 daily for feeding, but even that was abruptly stopped,” he said. “We trekked long distances every day while MC Oluomo followed in his car. In the end, we were completely abandoned.” Lalude further stated, “We finished the work and no dime was given to us.

Is it good? It was MC who called us. He promised me and Alapini ₦1.5 million each. He told us to name our price — we did. Till today, we got nothing.” He added bitterly, “He took us to the place where we lodged to campaign for the president. Whoever is behind these misdeeds will not prosper.

I know they’ll come back to us in 2027. We’re waiting for them.” Lalude’s revelation comes shortly after similar sentiments were expressed by fellow veteran actors Ganiu Nafiu (Alapini) and Bukky Adekogbe Raji (Aminatu Papapa), who both publicly voiced their regret over supporting Tinubu during the 2023 elections.

  • Reno Omokri Attacks Peter Obi, Labels Him a “Land Grabber” Amid Ongoing Political Tensions

Controversial political commentator and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has once again taken aim at Labour Party leader Peter Obi, calling him a "land grabber" and accusing him of launching a "criminal scheme"—an allegation many critics have dismissed as politically motivated.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Omokri lashed out at Obi following his criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s recent state visit to Saint Lucia. Obi had questioned the timing and necessity of the trip, suggesting it was more of a vacation than a productive mission. In response, Omokri wrote:

"Land Grabber, Peter Obi, Should Focus On His New Criminal Scheme And Stop Speaking Grammar About The President's Trips. By his latest critique of the President, Peter Obi has again revealed that he is a trader, not a leader."

Omokri’s attack appears to be rooted in a recent land ownership controversy involving a disputed parcel in Ikeja, Lagos. Some reports suggest Peter Obi and his brother were linked to the land, though official documents reportedly did not list them as legal owners. However, no credible evidence has yet tied Obi directly to any illegal land acquisition.

Critics have accused Reno Omokri of being a political tool used to distract from real national issues, often launching smear campaigns against opposition figures. His frequent, highly personal attacks on Obi and the Obidient movement have raised questions about his objectivity and motivations.

While Omokri framed Tinubu’s trip as a strategic state visit aimed at boosting foreign investment, many Nigerians continue to debate whether such travels yield tangible benefits—especially at a time of economic hardship.

For now, Peter Obi has yet to respond directly to the land-grabbing allegation, but supporters argue that these kinds of attacks are desperate attempts to discredit a growing political force.

  • Oshiomhole Blames Buhari-Era Excessive Money Printing for Naira Collapse.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole has attributed the sharp decline of the naira to excessive money printing under former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. Speaking at a Progressives Governors Forum event in Benin City, the Edo North senator criticized the Central Bank’s use of the Ways and Means provision, saying it led to unchecked currency printing and the naira’s subsequent devaluation.

Under the Ways and Means policy, the federal government is allowed to borrow from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to manage fiscal shortfalls. However, Oshiomhole alleged the Buhari government abused this by printing over ₦31 trillion, not backed by revenue or resources.

He likened the practice to the economic mismanagement seen in Zimbabwe and Idi Amin’s Uganda, where excessive currency printing led to hyperinflation and the collapse of national currencies.

“They called it ‘Ways and Means’—but in reality, it was just printing money to meet illusionary needs,” Oshiomhole said. “This reckless policy is why the naira collapsed.”

He added that the root causes of today’s inflation and exchange rate crisis stem from this fiscal mismanagement, a burden now left for President Bola Tinubu to resolve.

Oshiomhole also criticized Nigeria’s unsustainable borrowing habits, saying, “We were borrowing like fish drinks water,” and praised the current administration for halting the practice.

In 2024, the Senate set up an ad-hoc committee to probe the CBN’s use of Ways and Means and its Anchor Borrowers Programme.

Controversial Nigerian activist and influencer, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has stirred the political hornet's nest with his bold take on the 2027 presidential elections.

He declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains unbeatable and smarter than any political rival, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

In a now-viral video, VDM insisted that neither Peter Obi of the Labour Party nor Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has the will or political firepower to take on the incumbent president.

VDMM stated: “Tinubu is smart, but you people underestimate him, and that is the problem. The other parties are not desperate enough. They can’t risk it all As a matter of fact, President Bola Tinubu is the greatest politician in this country. Forget it, even over Obasanjo. That Jagaban they call him—don’t play.”

While maintaining that his analysis isn’t an endorsement, the outspoken critic claimed Nigerians are too emotionally driven to admit Tinubu’s political brilliance.

He stated: “This is not support for him, but the best way to beat an enemy is to understand and acknowledge his strength. Most of his opponents won’t admit he’s smart.

But he is. That’s why they’ll keep losing.” He added that both Atiku and Obi should “rest” until 2031, hinting that even by then, their chances remain slim if they continue underestimating Tinubu. “Peter Obi and Atiku, just go and rest. Maybe come back in 2031, and even that one no sure.”

  • FUBARA SPEAKS AFTER PEACE MEETING WITH WIKE.

There may finally be light at the end of the tunnel for Rivers State, as its suspended governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed strong hope that peace is on its way back to the state following a high-level intervention by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Daily Post reported.

On Thursday night, President Tinubu hosted a crucial meeting at the Presidential Villa between Governor Fubara and his political rival and predecessor, Nyesom Wike, in a bid to resolve the prolonged political crisis that has rocked the oil-rich state.

The closed-door meeting reportedly ended on a positive note, with both parties reaching an agreement to lay down their swords and embrace peace.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Fubara sounded confident and relieved.

According to him, the state’s progress has been held back for too long by political infighting, and now is the time to move forward in unity.

“For me, it’s very important that this day has come. What we need for the progress of Rivers State is peace, and by the special grace of God, this night, with the help of Mr. President and the agreement of the leaders of the state, peace has returned to Rivers State,” Fubara said.

He further promised that his administration would do everything possible to sustain the peace and prevent a return to the chaos that has plagued the state in recent months.
