  • The Tragedy of Nigeria’s Mind-State: Shilgba Warns on Discipline, Leadership and National Renewal

Leonard Karshima Shilgba argues that Nigeria’s biggest crisis is a “troubled national mind-state” reflected in indiscipline, chaotic cities, poor work ethic, weak leadership, corruption, and social decay. Using Benue State as a case study, he highlights how societal neglect, insecurity and failed institutions stem from a deeper psychological decline. Shilgba draws lessons from China’s transformation—discipline, long-term planning, meritocracy, value-based education, and decisive anti-corruption—and urges Nigerians to rebuild national character from the heart, where lasting change begins.

  • I just watched a woman who gave 35 years of her life to the State of Florida.

    Her badge # read 100.

She wasn’t a DEI hire. She wasn’t pushed in by politics or quotas.

She was hired because she was competent… disciplined… and built for the job.

And after 35 years, she was able to retire with honor in a Republican-controlled state.

A state that still values law enforcement… a state that rewards service instead of punishing it.

  • DECLARATION OF NATIONWIDE SECURITY EMERGENCY & RECRUITMENT OF ADDITIONAL ARMY AND POLICE PERSONNEL

    Fellow Nigerians,

Today, in view of the emerging security situation, I have decided to declare a nationwide security emergency and order additional recruitment into the Armed Forces.

By this declaration, the police and the army are authorised to recruit more personnel. The police will recruit an additional 20,000 officers, bringing the total to 50,000.

Although I had previously approved the nationwide upgrade of police training facilities, the police authorities are, by this statement, authorised to use various National Youth Service Corps camps as training depots.

The officers being withdrawn from VIP guard duties should undergo crash training to debrief them and deliver more efficient police services when deployed to security-challenged areas of the country.

The DSS also has my authority to immediately deploy all the forest guards already trained to flush out the terrorists and bandits lurking in our forests. The agency also has my directive to recruit more men to man the forests. There will be no more hiding places for agents of evil.

My fellow Nigerians, this is a national emergency, and we are responding by deploying more boots on the ground, especially in security-challenged areas. The times require all hands on deck. As Nigerians, we should all get involved in securing our nation.

Let me take this moment to commend our security agencies for working together to secure the release of the 24 schoolgirls in Kebbi and the 38 worshippers in Kwara State. We will continue to sustain the efforts to rescue the remaining students of Catholic School in Niger State and other Nigerians still being held hostage.

To the leadership and rank and file of our Armed Forces, I commend your courage and your sacrifice. This is a challenging moment for our nation and for the military institution itself. I charge you to remain resolute, to restore peace across all theatres of operation, and to uphold the highest standards of discipline and integrity. There must be no compromise, no collusion, and no negligence. The Nigerian people are counting on you, and this administration will provide the support you need to succeed.

  • "Flush out these bandits"- Tinubu orders Police, DSS to storm forests in Nigeria.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a nationwide security emergency, directing security agencies to intensify operations against terrorists and armed groups hiding in forests across the country.

In a national address on Wednesday, the President ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to immediately deploy trained forest guards to comb and secure wooded areas where bandits and insurgents are believed to be operating. He also authorised the agency to embark on fresh recruitment to strengthen manpower for the operation.

“There will be no more hiding places for agents of evil,” Tinubu warned, instructing the DSS and police to storm forested regions and flush out criminal elements responsible for recent deadly attacks.

As part of the emergency measures, the President approved the recruitment of an additional 20,000 police personnel, increasing the force to 50,000 officers nationwide. He further directed that National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camps be used as temporary training facilities to fast-track the process.

Tinubu also ordered the withdrawal of police officers attached to VIPs, saying the personnel would undergo rapid retraining and be redeployed to areas facing heightened security threats.

“My fellow Nigerians, this is a national emergency, and we are responding by deploying more boots on the ground,” he said, urging citizens to support security agencies and report suspicious activities.

The President commended security operatives for securing the release of kidnapped schoolgirls in Kebbi State and worshippers abducted in Kwara, assuring that efforts to rescue remaining hostages including students kidnapped in Niger State would continue.

While praising the Armed Forces for their sacrifices, Tinubu cautioned against indiscipline, collusion, or negligence, stressing that the military must restore peace across all operational zones.

He also encouraged states with established security outfits to intensify local efforts and called on the National Assembly to begin reviewing laws that would allow states to create their own police structures where necessary.

Addressing the long-running clashes between herders and farmers, Tinubu urged herder groups to embrace ranching and take advantage of the newly created Livestock Ministry, warning against continued open grazing and illegal possession of weapons.

The President extended condolences to families affected by recent attacks in Kebbi, Borno, Zamfara, Niger, Yobe, and Kwara, and paid tribute to military personnel who lost their lives, including Brigadier-General Musa Uba.

“Those who want to test our resolve should never mistake our restraint for weakness,” he stated.

  • "Justice must never be sold"— President Tinubu warns Nigerian Judges.

President Bola Tinubu on Monday called on the judiciary to uphold integrity, warning that justice must never be for sale. He highlighted public concerns over delays in case resolutions and limited access to justice, stressing that courts must become efficient and trustworthy institutions.

Addressing judges at the 2025 All Nigerian Judges Conference in Abuja, themed “Building a Confident Judiciary,” Tinubu emphasized that public confidence is essential for the judiciary’s legitimacy. He affirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting judicial dignity, eliminating misconduct, and enhancing institutional capacity, saying this responsibility extends beyond the National Judicial Council to all judicial officers.

The President stressed that a judgment, however legally sound, loses authority if perceived as unfair. He called for reforms to restore public trust, noting that the judiciary exists to serve the people, not the Bench or Bar.

Tinubu underlined the need for synergy among the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary, and described a strong, efficient, and principled judiciary as vital for democracy and national prosperity.

He pledged tangible support, including modern infrastructure, digital case management, and well-equipped courtrooms to ensure transparency and speed in justice delivery. Highlighting judicial welfare, training, and independence, he affirmed continued backing for the National Judicial Institute to promote professional development.

Tinubu warned against corruption within the judiciary, stressing that compromise erodes governance and democracy. He urged judges to be bold and practical in addressing challenges like case backlogs, discipline, affordability, and accessibility of justice for all, particularly the vulnerable.

Concluding, he called judges “guardians of Nigeria’s moral conscience,” urging them to deliver fair, courageous rulings that strengthen democracy and ensure that every citizen is heard, promising continued governmental support in their sacred duty.

  • NEVER FORGIVE A WOMAN’S PAST — HER BODY COUNT MATTERS

A man who has driven many cars is called experienced. But a car driven by many drivers is called scrap. That’s the cold truth society refuses to say out loud — and it’s why a woman’s past will always matter. You can sugarcoat it with “love is love,” but deep down, every man knows the truth: a woman’s history shapes her loyalty, purity, and peace.

You can’t build a future with someone whose past still screams chaos. You can’t build trust with someone who gave her best years to strangers and now comes to you with a recycled heart. Forgiveness doesn’t erase patterns — it just blinds you until reality hits harder.

    Brutal Thread:

1锔忊儯 A woman’s past is a preview of her future. If she was reckless with herself then, discipline won’t magically appear in your relationship.

2锔忊儯 Don’t believe the “body count doesn’t matter” lie. Every man saying that publicly would still flinch privately if he knew the real number.

3锔忊儯 Promiscuity changes a woman’s soul. Every man she’s been with leaves an imprint — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. That’s why she can’t bond the same again.

4锔忊儯 A woman with a high body count has been shared energy-wise too many times. She loses depth, connection, and genuine femininity — she becomes numb.

5锔忊儯 When a man chooses purity, he’s mocked. When a woman loses hers, she’s celebrated. That’s how twisted this modern generation has become.

6锔忊儯 Forgiving a woman’s past doesn’t make you noble; it makes you naïve. You can’t fix what a hundred men have already broken.

7锔忊儯 Women lie about numbers because they know the truth — no man truly respects a woman who has been for everyone.

8锔忊儯 A woman with too many histories can’t create new beginnings. Her soul is scattered across old memories and men who never valued her.

9锔忊儯 Modern society sells “艧èxual liberation” as empowerment. But if it leaves you empty, bitter, and unable to bond — that’s not power; that’s punishment.

Real men don’t judge women harshly — they just choose wisely. Her past doesn’t need condemnation; it just disqualifies her from certain futures.

    FINAL WARNING:
Never ignore her past in the name of love. Love doesn’t erase patterns — it amplifies them. You’re not insecure for caring about a woman’s body count; you’re smart enough to understand that history repeats itself. Protect your peace, guard your legacy, and never apologize for wanting purity in a world that glorifies filth. #fblifestyle

  • "How can I sit quietly in my office when government officials, including directors, are being attacked and beaten?"
    — Wike defends his clash with Lt. A.M. Yerima

Reacting to the recent incident involving a naval officer, Minister Nyesom Wike expressed concern about the safety and morale of government officials, saying:

“How can I effectively serve as a minister when government officials are being attacked and intimidated? These are public servants, yet they face threats while sitting in their offices, trying to perform their duties. How can they carry out their responsibilities if they feel unprotected?

“I’ve had calls from respected figures like Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, a former President and head of state, or General Theophilus Danjuma, who are retired generals. When they encounter a problem, they call a minister directly. There’s no intimidation, no threat just respect. And I ensure their issues are addressed promptly. That is how respect and protocol work.

“This is very different from situations where serving officers engage in acts of indiscipline. For instance, when a serving major general attacked a control, I immediately wrote a letter to the President and the Chief of Defence Staff, who was the Chief of Army Staff at the time, to address the matter. Everything falls under the authority and control of the military, and proper channels must be observed.

“Before I assumed office, contracts had been awarded to develop areas close to military barracks. Contractors were chased away. I intervened, involving the late Chief of Army Staff, Chief Olabanji, and other relevant defense officials, to find solutions without conflict. I have always respected established processes, and I continue to prioritize resolution through dialogue rather than confrontation.”

  • Reactions As Force PRO Shares IGP's Statement Saying Army Is Not The Nation's First Line Of Defense.

A statement by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, emphasizing the vital role of citizens in safeguarding national stability, has sparked widespread conversation on social media. The message, shared by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, on his official X account (formerly Twitter), has drawn mixed reactions from Nigerians across different online communities.

In the post, which quickly gained traction after it was published on Wednesday, the Police Chief highlighted the importance of unity, civic responsibility, and respect for the rule of law as the foundation of a nation’s defense system. Egbetokun’s message called on Nigerians to recognize that national security is not the sole duty of the military or law enforcement agencies, but a collective responsibility shared by all citizens.

Sharing the Inspector General’s statement, Hundeyin quoted him as saying:“The truth is that a nation's first line of defense is not its army, it is its people; educated, disciplined and united by the rule of law.”

The Inspector General’s assertion, emphasizing civic consciousness over militarization, has prompted a wave of online reactions. Many users praised the statement as a powerful reminder of the role of citizens in maintaining peace and order, while others expressed skepticism, urging the police to demonstrate greater commitment to upholding the very laws they champion.

Some commentators interpreted the message as a subtle call for national unity amid growing social and political tensions. Others argued that while the sentiment was noble, it must be matched with visible reforms in policing and governance to restore public confidence.

Despite the diverse opinions, the IGP’s remark has resonated widely, reigniting conversations about civic responsibility, law enforcement integrity, and the shared duty of protecting the nation’s democratic values.
