• “Leave Me Alone and Move On!” — Regina Daniels Sends Strong Message to Estranged Husband Ned Nwoko

According to Leadership News, Nollywood star Regina Daniels has openly called on her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, to stop interfering in her personal affairs and allow her to live in peace.

In her strongly worded message, Regina urged the senator to act on his previous claims of marrying another wife instead of continually dragging her into conflicts that she believes should have ended after their separation.

Regina expressed frustration over what she sees as unnecessary intrusion, saying Nwoko should “just marry a new wife and leave me alone — isn’t that what you said you would do? Use that one to console yourself.”

Her remarks indicate that she feels the senator has crossed boundaries by staying involved in her life post-breakup, and she wants him to respect his own statements and move forward independently.

The actress didn’t stop there. She also criticized Nwoko’s priorities, stating that instead of focusing on his responsibilities as an elected senator, he has shifted his energy toward monitoring her.

    Regina pointedly stated:
“People of Delta North, your senator has left his responsibilities and focused on small me.”

Her comments have sparked fresh conversations online, with many reacting to the escalating tension between the former couple.

  • Senator Ned Nwoko Defends Marriage to Regina Daniels Amid Controversy, Denies Political Smear Allegations.

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has addressed the controversies surrounding his six-year marriage to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, asserting that recent stories are politically motivated and aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

Speaking through his Communication and Technical Action Team, Mr. Nwoko clarified the ongoing age debate, emphasizing that Regina Daniels, born on October 10, 2000, married him at 19 not 17 as widely claimed. “Her mother personally brought her to me during the traditional marriage ceremony. I never pursued her,” he stated.

He also acknowledged Regina’s past struggles with substance use and bipolar medication, highlighting that her medical history is verifiable. “Enemies of progress are manipulating her for their own agendas. If there were any secrets to disclose, she would have done so.

All circulating stories are fabricated and amount to criminal defamation,” he added.

On his marriage, Nwoko emphasized that it followed customary traditions. “Polygamy is accepted under our customs. I married her honourably, gave her a name, and treated her with dignity. My affection for Regina has always been genuine, and anyone who has worked with me can attest to the care and attention I gave her,” he said.

The senator described the controversies as politically driven attacks meant to halt his developmental initiatives. He cited claims of land grabbing in his hometown as false, noting that the land he acquired was legally purchased for the establishment of the University of Sports, a project benefiting the community.

He also accused critics, including Omoyele Sowore and Jebose, of exploiting Regina’s vulnerability to settle old scores. “Those using her current condition to launch attacks against me, knowing they have no case, will eventually face justice. That she has made no credible allegations against me confirms there is nothing illegal in my actions,” Nwoko concluded.

  • Troops Rescue 86 Kidnap Victims, Destroy Boko Haram Camp in Borno.

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have rescued 86 kidnapped victims and destroyed a major Boko Haram/ISWAP camp in the Buratai–Kamuya area of Borno State.

The operation was carried out on Sunday by the 135 Special Forces Battalion following surveillance alerts of terrorists abducting civilians along the route.

According to a statement by Lt. Col. Sani Uba, Media Information Officer for the Joint Task Force, the troops at Echo 1 in Dutse Kura came under heavy attack around 3:52 pm.
A Quick Response Force was deployed to reinforce them, successfully repelling the terrorists and pursuing them toward the Mangari axis.

During the pursuit, the insurgents attempted to flee with kidnapped civilians in two vehicles, but troops ambushed them, forcing the terrorists to abandon the victims.

A subsequent search led to the discovery of a Boko Haram/ISWAP camp, where 86 captives — men, women and children — were rescued unharmed.

Recovered items included an AK-47 rifle, five magazines loaded with 73 rounds, PKT ammunition belts, five civilian cars, five motorcycles, eight bicycles and two tricycles. The camp was destroyed.

In a separate operation the same day, troops at Delta 1 in Mangada arrested 29 suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers. Eight of them were identified as active couriers.

Seized items included two pickup vans and a tricycle loaded with Premium Motor Spirit, 38 jerry cans of fuel, engine oil, medical supplies, food items and two new gun-truck tyres.

The suspects and recovered items have been handed over for further investigation. Military sources say the latest operations are part of intensified efforts to cut off terrorists supply chains and limit their movement in the North-East.

  • Ned Nwoko Releases Evidence, Accuses Regina Daniels’ Brother Of Harassment.

Businessman and lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, has released fresh details and video over the crisis between him, his wife Regina Daniels, and her brother Samuel “Sammy West” Ojeogwu, who is currently in police custody.

Lengthy statement posted on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday night, the Delta North senator said the videos show Sammy invading his residence and harassing his children and domestic staff, especially when he was not at home.

“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around. His visits were often aggressive and disruptive,” Nwoko wrote.

He said he was compelled to speak publicly again to counter what he described as “misleading narratives” surrounding Sammy’s arrest, insisting the matter was not a domestic quarrel but a serious security concern.

Senator Nwoko also detailed years of financial support allegedly extended to Regina’s family, including to Sammy himself.

“This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma. I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja… I also routinely provided allowances to all members of the family, including her mother, Rita Daniel,” he said.

He further claimed that ₦125 million had been transferred to Regina’s mother in the last two years.

The senator alleged that Regina’s personal rehabilitation efforts had been repeatedly undermined by her siblings and friends, whom he accused of introducing drugs into his household while Regina battled addiction with medical and therapeutic support.

  • BUA Refinery: Nigeria’s Next Big Move to End Fuel Import Dependence

Nigeria is set for another major breakthrough in its energy sector as BUA Group pushes forward with the construction of its new 200,000 barrels-per-day refinery in Akwa Ibom State. Led by billionaire industrialist Abdul Samad Rabiu, the project aims to strengthen Nigeria’s ability to refine its own crude oil locally — a crucial step toward ending decades of fuel import dependence.

A Game Changer for Nigeria’s Economy

For years, Nigeria has exported crude oil only to import refined fuels at high costs. With the new BUA refinery coming onstream, this cycle is expected to change dramatically. The refinery will produce:
    • Petrol (PMS)
    • Diesel (AGO)
    • Aviation fuel (Jet A1)
    • LPG (cooking gas)
    • Petrochemicals

This means more jobs, cheaper domestic fuel, and extra revenue for the nation through exports.

    Why This Refinery Matters

    ✔ Supports fuel supply stability
    ✔ Reduces foreign exchange pressure
    ✔ Expands Nigeria’s refining capacity
✔ Encourages competition with other refineries — especially Dangote Refinery
✔ Boosts development in the Niger Delta region

The refinery is already attracting international partners in engineering, technology, and infrastructure.

Driving Local Content & Industrial Growth

BUA Group is one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing conglomerates — with investments in:
    • Cement
    • Foods & sugar
    • Port operations
    • Real estate
    • Energy & power

The refinery project expands BUA’s footprint into the petroleum value chain, helping to keep more wealth within Nigeria.

    Looking Ahead

Once completed, the BUA refinery will become one of West Africa’s largest privately-owned refineries, adding healthy competition to the market and supporting Nigeria’s long-awaited shift toward full downstream independence.

“Nigeria should not be importing fuel when we have crude oil.”
    — Abdul Samad Rabiu

The journey continues — and the results could reshape the nation’s economic future.

  • Political Earthquake in Bayelsa: Governor Diri Dumps PDP for APC, Cites Tinubu’s “Love for Ijaw People”

Bayelsa’s political landscape has witnessed a stunning shift as Governor Douye Diri officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) — a move that has seen most members of the State House of Assembly follow his lead.

The Governor explained that his decision was not driven by personal ambition but by a desire to align Bayelsa State with the federal government for accelerated development and better opportunities for the people.

Speaking at the defection ceremony, Diri praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for its “unprecedented commitment” to the Niger Delta’s development, describing it as proof of the President’s affection for the Ijaw nation.

“Government has shown us the will and the direction that they love the Ijaw people and Bayelsa State,” Diri declared during a live broadcast on Channels Television.

He highlighted three major developmental milestones achieved through federal partnership as justification for his defection:

    1. Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road: A long-awaited project now actively pursued under President Tinubu, described by Diri as “the economic lifeline of the Ijaw people.”

    2. Nembe–Brass Road Project: Once stalled, but revived after Tinubu’s swift approval. “When I met the President, he said, ‘Governor, it is done,’ and within days, contractors were on site,” Diri recounted.

    3. ₦4 Billion Tax Waiver: Granted for the importation of 60-megawatt gas turbines to provide Bayelsa with 24-hour independent power supply, a breakthrough after years of darkness due to grid sabotage.

Diri concluded that these “acts of grace” proved Tinubu’s genuine commitment to Bayelsa’s progress, calling his move to the APC “a necessary alignment for the future prosperity of our people.”

  • Asari Dokubo Warns Trump: ‘Nigeria Will Be the Graveyard of Any US Invasion’.

Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has issued a stern warning to United States President Donald Trump, cautioning him against making good on his alleged threat to launch a military incursion into Nigeria over claims of widespread Christian persecution.

In a viral video shared via Facebook, the ex-leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF) vowed that any American troops sent to Nigeria would meet fierce resistance. According to him, Nigeria would become “the graveyard” of Trump and any invading US forces.

“Let Trump come with his America, they will all die,” Asari declared passionately. “This lunatic wants to annex Canada, wants Iceland, wants to kill the president of Venezuela and the Supreme Leader of Iran. America is a sick country that elects madmen as leaders.”

The former warlord accused Trump of hypocrisy, saying the US ignored several humanitarian crises around the world while choosing to target Nigeria. “He can’t see the genocide in Congo, Gaza, or Sudan, but he’s talking about genocide against Christians in Nigeria,” he said. “If you come here, you’ll die here Nigeria will be your graveyard.”

Asari, who described himself as a Muslim raised among non-Muslims, also dismissed the idea that the killings in Nigeria are purely religious, insisting that both Muslims and Christians are victims of the ongoing violence.

He concluded by warning that unlike others who merely talk, he and his allies are ready to act if Nigeria’s sovereignty is threatened.

  • Bayelsa in Political Turmoil as Diri Joins APC, Deputy Governor Faces Impeachment.

Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, is facing impeachment by the State House of Assembly following Governor Douye Diri’s formal defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) today.

The crisis erupted after Ewhrudjakpo refused to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite Diri’s resignation from the party on October 15. The House of Assembly, reportedly acting under the governor’s influence, has since commenced impeachment proceedings against the deputy governor.

In a swift move to save his position, Ewhrudjakpo filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja last week, seeking an injunction to halt the process. Speaking during the state’s 14th annual thanksgiving service on Sunday, Diri defended his decision to join the APC, describing it as a step taken “in the best interest of Bayelsa.”

He said, “Somebody had to make the decision, and I did it for the good of the state. You may not understand now, but time will tell.” The governor emphasized that his administration’s priority remains peace, development, and continuity of governance.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, hailed Diri’s defection as a strategic move to align Bayelsa with the federal government, warning against acts of disloyalty a veiled reference to Ewhrudjakpo’s insistence on staying with the PDP.

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by his Senior Policy Adviser, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, urged Bayelsans to maintain unity for continued progress, while NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, praised Diri’s “visible developmental achievements,” describing him as “a blessing to the state.”

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has rusticated a 200-level Biotechnology student, Ezi Ugoma, for uploading on TikTok a video showing a dying student allegedly involved in an abortion.

In a letter dated October 21, 2025, signed by Principal Assistant Registrar (Students), Ughwumiakpor A., the school said Ugoma breached her matriculation oath by “inappropriately filming and uploading the scene of a dying student at the University Health Centre on TikTok.” The act was described as gross misconduct.

Ugoma was suspended for four semesters starting from the 2025/2026 academic session and will resume in 2027/2028.

    The letter stated:
“You will recall that you appeared before the Students Disciplinary Committee… to defend yourself against the underlisted allegations: Act of gross misconduct.
Breach of matriculation oath arising from a case of inappropriate filming…
After due consideration… the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel O. Asagba, has approved the recommendation… that you be rusticated for four (4) semesters… You are to resume studies with effect from 2027/2028 academic session.”

The university also forwarded copies of the decision to her sponsors and relevant authorities.

Reports claim Ugoma’s stepfather reacted angrily, allegedly telling her to “k+ss her education goodbye forever” and prepare to return to the village.

Journalist Oseni Rufai has appealed to the school to reconsider. In a post on X, he wrote:
“Please sir do not allow this injustice to stand as this young lady’s future is about to be shattered and cut short.
In addition to the pandemonium, her stepfather had vehemently told her to kiss her education goodbye forever… Please sir, don’t allow this to happen to her, we need your help.”

  • NDDC Demands Retraction, Apology.

The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has demanded a retraction and apology from the Punch and Daily Times newspapers over an alleged coup rumour against the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Commission’s Legal Counsel, ADEDIPE AND ADEDIPE Legal Practitioners, in a strongly worded letter signed by Chief Ayodeji Adedipe, SAN, demanded that The Punch, the Daily Times and others retract the offensive and false publication and tender an unreserved public apology.

Adedipe said the report, “falsely alleged that Dr Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), was arrested by military intelligence for allegedly co-sponsoring a failed coup plot against President Tinubu.

“The publication further claimed, without any factual or evidential basis, that Dr Ogbuku transferred funds from NDDC contracts to finance an alleged coup plot. These allegations are entirely false, malicious, and defamatory.”

According to the letter, “Dr Ogbuku categorically denies these baseless claims. He has not been arrested, invited, or interrogated by any authority in connection with any alleged coup plot or financial misconduct. The publication represents a gross violation of journalistic ethics, as no attempt was made to contact or verify the story with him or the NDDC before its release.

  • "EVERY MAN SHOULD MARRY MORE THAN ONE WIFE" — SENATOR NED NWOKO.

During a recent interview on Channels Television, Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District and is known for his polygamous lifestyle, shared his bold views on marriage, saying that “every man should marry more than one wife.”

When asked by the interviewer how he managed to successfully live with four wives, Nwoko replied, “I’m sure you have a wife and you also have girlfriends.

Just imagine me telling you to stand on one leg you know how difficult that is. But to stand on two, three, four legs is much more balanced. That’s the example.” He added jokingly, “I feel sorry for those who have only one wife because it’s difficult to stand on one leg.”

The interviewer pressed further, noting that the Bible does not support polygamy. Nwoko countered, “Well, the Old Testament does, and I am a man of the Old Testament and also a man of faith.”

When asked if he plans to marry more wives, the senator laughed and said, “Well, look, that’s not what we are here for.” However, when asked if he would make the same choice again, he confidently replied, “Of course, yes. I’ll do the same thing again and again.”

Addressing a comment about his taste for young and beautiful women, Nwoko smiled and said, “That’s just the way it is and the way it should be.”

Responding to allegations of domestic violence, the senator dismissed them outright, saying, “No, come on. I’m not a violent person. I respect my wives, I love them, and I love my kids. So, no not at all.”

Ned Nwoko, a lawyer, politician, and businessman, is well known for his marriage to popular actress Regina Daniels and his advocacy for polygamy, which he often defends as both traditional and practical.

  • EFCC Chairman Finally Opens Up on How the ₦566bn, $411m Recovered Loot Are Used.

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has finally revealed how the massive sums of money recovered by the anti-graft agency are being utilised.

According to him, the recovered funds totalling ₦566.3 billion and $411.6 million are being channeled into key social investment programmes across the country.

He made this known during a media briefing in Abuja to mark his second anniversary in office.

Mr. Olukoyede explained that part of the recovered money has been used to support national initiatives such as the Students Loan Scheme and the Consumer Credit Scheme, which are both aimed at improving access to education and financial stability for Nigerians.

“Part of the funds recovered by the commission in the last two years was invested in critical social investment programmes: the Students Loan Scheme and the Consumer Credit Scheme,” he said.

He also disclosed that several government agencies have benefited directly from recovered assets and funds. These include the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

  • Justice Will Be Served’ – EFCC Insists On Okowa’s Corruption Probe.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed allegations that it is protecting former Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, from prosecution following his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, speaking through the agency’s Director of Legal and Prosecution, Sylvanus Tahir (SAN), stressed that no suspect enjoys immunity from investigation because of political alignment.

Tahir said, “Someone asked the question that it is alleged that politicians who jump ship to the ruling party are shielded. The simple answer is that it’s not true.

“I think the reference was made to the case of a former governor of Delta State. To the best of my knowledge, that case is still undergoing investigation. And in due course, justice will be served.”

Okowa, who served as Delta governor from 2015 to 2023, was arrested in November 2024 over allegations of diverting ₦1.3 trillion in oil derivation funds.

In April 2025, he and his successor, Sheriff Oborevwori, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling APC — a move that sparked criticism that the EFCC had gone soft on his case.

‘Tahir explained that the anti-graft agency prefers to conclude investigations thoroughly before filing charges, especially in high-profile cases.

“We have had situations where cases were rushed to court, and the outcomes were not always good. So we would like to do a thorough job. When we go to court, Nigerians will see what the case is all about,” he said.
