  • JUST IN: Daddy Freeze Responds to Anu’s Mother

Daddy Freeze has reacted to Anu’s mother, urging her to handle the situation privately and focus on raising her child. He said Anu is like a daughter to him because her father was once his lecturer, and advised her to do everything possible to ensure the child becomes successful. He asked if she would not still raise the child if the father were dead.

He warned her to take the matter off social media, stating that nobody can force Davido to undergo a DNA test. According to him, Davido could even file a harassment case, which may lead to a restraining order. He added that she could pursue the matter legally if she chooses, recommending lawyers like Femi Falana or Afe Babalola for possible pro bono services.

Daddy Freeze also criticised her decision to go public, saying announcing that the child resulted from a one-night stand does not reflect well on her. He noted that her claim of being a waitress who agreed to sex when approached does not present her in a good light.

  • Mohbad’s Family Renews Call for Probe, Bars His Widow from Using ‘Aloba’ Pending DNA Test.

The family of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has renewed its call for a transparent and independent probe into his d+ath while directing his wife, Wunmi, to stop using the family surname pending the result of a court-ordered DNA test.

In a statement signed by family head Omolayo Aloba and Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, the family said it remained “resolute in its demand for a transparent, independent, and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.”

It announced the appointment of Oladayo Ogungbe, Esq., as the family’s sole legal representative for estate and DNA matters, while Dr. Wahab Shittu, SAN, will continue to represent them before investigative authorities.

Three administrators — Ajewole Aloba, Rasaq Famuyiwa, and Alonge Aloba — were named to manage the late singer’s assets, with one slot left for Wunmi if the DNA test confirms that her son, Liam, is Mohbad’s biological child.

The family also instructed Wunmi to “cease using the surname Aloba in public or private records until lawful confirmation of paternity is obtained,” noting that “no statutory or customary marriage was contracted between the late Mohbad and Wunmi Adebanjo.”

Reacting, Wunmi’s lawyer, Kabir Akingbolu, described the directive as illegal and sentimental, saying, “Nobody can stop her from bearing Aloba. That is the name given to her by her husband, and under the law, she has every right to keep it.”

He accused the Aloba family of frustrating the DNA process despite multiple court orders, adding, “We are ready for the DNA any time, any day. The child is not a bastard, and my client has nothing to fear.”

Mohbad, a former Marlian Music signee, who is yet to be buried,  died on September 12, 2023, at 27. The Lagos State Police Command had earlier inaugurated a 13-man team to probe his death.

  • "I Got Pregnant When I Was 16 Years Old and the Guy Denied It" – Singer Waje.

Nigerian singer Waje, recently revealed on the Honest Bunch podcast that she got pregnant at the age of 16.

She recounted, “I was 16 when I got pregnant and I didn’t tell my mum till I was about five months gone.” When they approached the father’s family, he denied responsibility, insisting, “It’s not him, it’s not him,” making it his word against hers.

At some point, he returned and expressed remorse, saying, “I was young, I wasn’t quite inmature then but now I would love to meet my daughter. I’m sorry Vivian but this child needs to know who her dad is.” Waje initially resisted, clarifying that her hesitation wasn’t due to bitterness as she was in a stable relationship at the time.

She explained that when single parents restrict access to the other parent, it is often because that person could destabilize the child’s life.

Eventually, Waje agreed but set conditions. She told him, “You are a citizen in Canada so file for your child,” noting that her daughter wasn’t interested in citizenship at the time. They agreed on a DNA test, but he delayed the process, and she never heard from him around 2015.

Waje, celebrated for her inspiring career in the Nigerian music industry and advocacy for women and youth empowerment, shared her story on the Honest Bunch podcast to highlight the challenges of teenage pregnancy and single parenthood, emphasizing resilience and determination.

Cubana Chief Priest’s Alleged Baby Mama Threatens to Involve Shrine Over DNA Test Dispute
Controversial social media figure Hellen Ati has fired back at a recent post from her alleged child’s father, who opened up about health concerns.

The businessman known for financing a road construction project in Owerri shared on Instagram that he struggled to access quality healthcare. He recounted waiting over an hour at his usual hospital without seeing a doctor, then moving to another clinic where he had to fill out paperwork and wait again.

Responding to his complaints, Ati suggested that his health challenges were the result of karma. She declared that he would continue to face difficulties until he agreed to a DNA test. Hellen also mocked his appearance, advising him to shed belly fat so his “brain could work” before taking the test.

In a video message, she went further, calling him “mumu,” “wicked,” and “shameless.” Ati added that she herself had recently fallen ill and visited a hospital, alleging that the celebrity barman only began talking about his health after she posted about hers. She claimed that even if he sought treatment abroad, doctors would discover untreatable conditions, remarking that “everyone eventually dies.”

Ati also accused him of suffering from insomnia despite believing he is perfectly healthy. She concluded by saying she prays daily about what he allegedly did to her and her son, which she believes explains his current troubles.

  • Soludo, Wife Dismiss Reported Apology From Uche Ekwunife as Fake

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State and his wife, Dr. Nonye Soludo, have rejected claims that Senator Uche Ekwunife issued an apology over defamatory remarks she allegedly made against them.

The supposed apology, which circulated online and was credited to the “Ekwunife Campaign Organization,” was described by the Soludos as “another fabrication” lacking credibility.

In a statement on Wednesday signed by Mazi Ejimofor Opara, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the governor, the apology was dismissed as unsigned, misleading, and suspicious.

The statement, titled “Sen. Ekwunife’s Purported Apology: Another Fabrication Fit for the Waste Bin,” noted that no such campaign organization exists, since Ekwunife is only a deputy governorship candidate on a joint ticket with the APC governorship flagbearer in Anambra.

“The publication purporting to be an apology for the defamatory statements made against the Governor and his wife personally by Senator Ekwunife does not appear to have emanated from the Senator herself, given that her defamatory statements were made directly via recorded video and leaked audio conversation,” Opara said.

He stressed that any genuine retraction or apology must come directly from Ekwunife herself, and through the same channels where the original allegations were made.

Opara further pointed out that the purported apology failed to reference Ekwunife’s viral video and audio recordings, instead focusing on an unsigned write-up—an omission the Soludos believe indicates bad faith.

The statement also recalled that Dr. Nonye Soludo had previously challenged Ekwunife to:

    1. Swear an oath of marital fidelity before the Blessed Sacrament.

    2. Subject her children, alongside the Soludos’, to a DNA test to disprove the infidelity allegations.

“Any contrite apology must follow a personal and direct retraction of her defamatory statements,” Opara maintained. “Slander or libel made by an individual cannot be dismissed by proxy.”

The Soludo administration described the apology as nothing more than “unsubstantiated social media gossip”, insisting it will be disregarded until Ekwunife herself issues a clear, unambiguous retraction.

  • Anambra First Lady Nonye Soludo Gives Uche Ekwunife 72 Hours to Retract Infidelity Claims, Threatens Legal Action

The political rivalry in Anambra State has taken a dramatic turn as Nonye Soludo, wife of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to former senator and APC deputy governorship candidate, Uche Ekwunife, demanding a retraction and public apology over allegations of infidelity.

In a strongly worded statement released on Saturday, Mrs Soludo described the accusations as “wilful and malicious,” warning that failure to recant would leave her with no option but to seek legal redress.

“My lawyers have been put on notice. As a Christian, I will still give Uche a chance to repent and make restitution by withdrawing her false allegations within 72 hours and tendering an unreserved apology. If she fails, I will take every necessary step to ensure justice,” she declared.

The feud erupted after a viral video captured Mrs Ekwunife alleging that Mrs Soludo had an affair with late Anambra governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju and questioning the paternity of her children. The remarks came shortly after Governor Soludo publicly challenged Ekwunife’s academic credentials, particularly her claimed Ph.D.

Firing back, Mrs Soludo dismissed the claims as baseless:

“In my 55 years on earth, I have known only one man — Chukwuma Soludo. I married him a virgin, and my fidelity in 33 years of marriage, and for life, is ironclad.”

To prove her innocence, she went further, proposing DNA tests for both families in three London hospitals, promising to foot all expenses. She also challenged Mrs Ekwunife to take an oath of fidelity before the Blessed Sacrament in the Catholic Church.

“I will swear with my children that I have known only one man, my husband. On your part, you should also swear with your children,” she added.

The explosive exchange has heightened political tensions in Anambra, sparking widespread public debate as Nigerians watch to see whether Mrs Ekwunife will issue an apology or face legal consequences.

  • Court Orders DNA Test on Late Mohbad’s Son.

The Magistrate Court in Ikorodu has directed that DNA tests be carried out on Liam Aloba, the son of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The order was issued on Tuesday by Magistrate Adefisoye Sonuga following an application filed by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, who sought to confirm the child’s paternity.

The court mandated that two separate DNA tests be conducted ,one in an accredited hospital in Nigeria and another abroad. Both parties or their representatives are required to be present during the sample collection.

In his application, Aloba argued that uncertainty over Liam’s paternity makes the test necessary, especially as it affects issues of child welfare and maintenance obligations. He requested that tissue or hair samples be taken from the late singer’s remains at the Military Hospital in Yaba for the purpose of the test.

During Tuesday’s proceedings, Aloba was represented by Augustine Adegbemi from Dr. Wahab Shittu (SAN) & Co., while Kabir Akingbolu appeared for Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba. With no objection from the respondent’s counsel, the court granted the application as prayed.

The matter was adjourned until November 11, 2025, for further proceedings.

The late Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, was listed as the respondent in the application brought under the Family Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) 2012 and the Magistrate Courts (Civil Procedure) Rules 2009.

The application requested that samples be taken from the remains of the deceased at the Military Hospital in Yaba for use in conducting the tests, either within Lagos or in another recognised facility outside the state.

It further sought approval for a separate test to be conducted abroad at the applicant’s expense.

In court filings, Aloba argued that uncertainty about Liam’s paternity made it necessary to conclusively settle the matter, stressing its importance for maintenance obligations and the child’s welfare.

At the hearing, Aloba was represented by Augustine Adegbemi from the chambers of Dr Wahab Shittu (SAN) & Co., while Kabir Akingbolu appeared for the respondent. The application was moved without opposition, leading the magistrate to grant the request.

The court directed that the tests be conducted in accredited hospitals in Nigeria and abroad, with both parties or their representatives present during sample collection.

The matter was adjourned to November 11, 2025, for further proceedings.
