  • Ghanaian authorities have arrested Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun, the Nigerian man accused of orchestrating the brutal killing of FRSC officer SRC Lasisi Funmilayo and her young daughter in Osun State earlier in November.

Victor was tracked down after a viral video detailing his alleged crimes spread online. He fled Nigeria and was hiding in a friend’s apartment in Ghana before being captured. Arrangements are underway to return him to Nigeria.

    How the Case Unfolded

On November 2, Mrs. Lasisi travelled to Osun State with Victor, whom police describe as her “friend.”

Investigators say they went to the home of a herbalist, where Victor and accomplices allegedly killed and dismembered the FRSC officer for ritual purposes.

Her daughter, who was playing outside, was later taken into the bush, killed, and mutilated.

    Cover-up Attempt

    After the killings, Victor:

Parked his vehicle along the Ikire expressway with keys inside,

    Switched off his phone,

Tried to stage a fake kidnapping to mislead police.

Police traced his call records, which linked him to the herbalist.

    Arrests and Confessions

An undercover operation led to the arrest of the first herbalist after a chase.

The suspect confessed Victor insisted on a ritual killing.

A second herbalist was arrested in Ekiti State.

Both suspects led police to the bush where the child’s remains were found.

Mrs. Lasisi’s dismembered body, without her head, was recovered in a river and taken to the Osun State Teaching Hospital.

    Ongoing Investigation

Osun CP Ibrahim Gotan confirmed the arrests and recovery efforts.
FRSC leadership has expressed shock, and DNA/autopsy procedures are planned once all suspects, including Victor, are secured.

Police say they are committed to ensuring everyone connected to the crime faces justice.

  • Tinubu Grants Posthumous Pardon to Late Major General Mamman Vatsa

The family of Major General Mamman Vatsa has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Tinubu following the posthumous pardon of the celebrated poet and senior military officer, nearly 39 years after his execution.

Vatsa, executed in 1986 after being convicted by a secret military tribunal for allegedly plotting a coup against then Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida, was finally cleared through the exercise of presidential clemency, alongside Herbert Macaulay and other notable figures.

In a statement from Minna, Niger State, Jonathan Vatsa, family spokesperson and former state Commissioner for Information, described the pardon as “the greatest moment of relief since the general’s death.”

    He said:

“Today is the happiest moment in the life of the family after 39 years of sorrow and sadness following the killing of our late father, brother and uncle. Though nothing can bring him back to life, the family is consoled by this display of statesmanship by our dear president. He has written his name in gold, and history will forever remember him.”

Jonathan emphasized that the family has long maintained Vatsa’s innocence, calling the coup charge a “frame-up” and the trial a “stage-managed process” fueled by envy and hatred. He added:

“Justice can never be denied but can only be delayed. The family is convinced that the late Vatsa must be happy in his grave today by this singular act of compassion by President Tinubu. This goes to show that truth doesn’t expire.”

He also recalled that General Domkat Bali, a member of the military council at the time, had publicly questioned the evidence against Vatsa and whether execution was justified.

While some of Vatsa’s closest relatives, including his wife and several children, are no longer alive to witness the pardon, the surviving family members celebrated being part of this historic moment.

“The family still maintains that the late General Vatsa was innocent of the coup. But we thank President Tinubu for his magnanimity in granting him the state pardon,” Jonathan concluded.

  • Former Leeds University Student Dies at 27 in Bali, Indonesia adopting a fruit-only diet.

A 27-year-old former Leeds University student, Karolina Krzyzak, has died in Bali after reportedly starving herself while following a strict “fruitarian” diet consisting solely of raw fruit.

The Warsaw-born woman, who had long battled anorexia, was found dead in her hotel room at the Sumberkima Hill resort, weighing just 3.5 stone. Investigators say she died of severe malnutrition.

Karolina had travelled to Bali seeking a community of like-minded wellness enthusiasts, but her condition deteriorated rapidly. Hotel staff described her as “extremely emaciated” and revealed she had requested only fruit be served directly to her room.

During her short stay, she became so weak that staff had to assist her back to her room on one occasion. Despite their pleas for her to see a doctor, she consistently refused medical help.

Three days after her arrival, hotel workers were alerted by a concerned friend who had not heard from her. When they went to check on her, they discovered her lifeless body.

Friends and relatives said Karolina had suffered from anorexia since her teenage years. After moving to the UK for university, she developed an interest in yoga and veganism, which later evolved into a more extreme “fruitarian” lifestyle.

By the time she travelled to Bali, her health had severely declined. Reports indicate she was suffering from osteoporosis and an albumin deficiency at the time of her death.

Her parents and friends had repeatedly urged her to seek treatment, but she refused to abandon her diet. Sadly, the young woman’s obsession with restrictive eating proved fatal.

  • 23-year-old American Climber, Balin Miller, Dies while climbing a 3000-foot granite wall in Yosemite National Park.

American climber Balin Miller has d+ed at the age of 23 while attempting a climb in Yosemite National Park, his family confirmed on Thursday.

Miller was on El Capitan, the park’s iconic 3,000-foot granite wall immortalized by Alex Honnold’s Free Solo, when the fatal accident occurred during his ascent of the “Sea of Dreams” route. His mother, Jeanine Moorman, announced the news in a post on the website of VIRR, the family’s outdoor goods company.

“This is unthinkable,” she wrote. “At this time, we do not yet know all the details. What we do know is that the world has lost an extraordinary soul, and our hearts are shattered.”

Moorman remembered her son as a free spirit with “a touch of Robin Williams’ wild energy,” describing him as curious, strategic, and endlessly playful.

Born into a family that embraced the outdoors, Miller was introduced to climbing by his father in the mountains of Alaska and grew into a fearless adventurer who scaled cliffs and ranges around the world.

Living a nomadic lifestyle, often out of his silver Prius, he pieced together a shoestring income to fund his passion. “Balin was full of life, a true wild card at heart,” his mother wrote.

A beloved figure in the climbing community, Miller became popular for his TikTok livestreams and was affectionately nicknamed the “orange tent guy” for his bright gear. His distinctive glitter makeup also drew attention; he once compared it to “a warrior putting makeup on before going into battle,” in an interview with Climbing magazine earlier this year.

In June, he achieved what is believed to be the first solo climb of the Slovak Direct route on Denali (Mount McKinley), North America’s tallest peak. He had only recently returned from an ice and alpine expedition in Alaska and had long dreamed of conquering a Yosemite lead.

His death coincided with the first day of the U.S. federal government shutdown, a development that left many national parks at risk of closure or reduced services.

  • 2026 WCQ: NFF Blames Dessers, Troost-Ekong For Super Eagles’ Draw With South Africa

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has criticised Cyriel Dessers and captain William Troost-Ekong following the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with South Africa in Tuesday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier.

Needing a win to boost their qualification chances, Nigeria fell behind in the 25th minute when Troost-Ekong turned the ball into his own net. Calvin Bassey restored parity before halftime with a powerful header.

In a post-match statement, NFF Director of Communications, Dr Ademola Olajire, faulted Dessers’ display, describing it as ineffective.

“Cyriel Dessers, who had an unimpressive game in Uyo where he was substituted after coming on, did not fare any better. He was too slow to latch onto passes, failed to win aerial duels and offered little to spark the Nigerian att+ck,” the statement read.

Troost-Ekong also came under f+re for his costly error.

“The Super Eagles’ fighting spirit was diminished after team captain William Ekong inadvertently swept the ball into his own net in the 25th minute, wrong-footing Stanley Nwabali and handing the Bafana Bafana the lead and momentum,” the NFF added.

  • “I Vomited blood for Six Months” — 9ice Opens Up on Spiritual Battles and Embracing Traditional Beliefs.

Nigerian singer Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice, has shared a deeply personal story of spiritual struggle and awakening during a recent interview on

The Nancy Isime Show. When asked if he had experienced spiritual battles, 9ice replied, “I have experienced spiritual b+ttles several times,” before revealing a frightening ordeal; “I was in my house vomiting blood for six months,” he said.

Shocked, Nancy asked, “No way, when was this?” “2009/2010,” 9ice replied. “6 months! And it wasn’t a medical condition?” she asked. “No it wasn’t medical,” he confirmed, adding that the mysterious illness forced him to leave his home.

That experience marked a turning point. “The first time I experienced Ifa was when I was vomiting that blood and someone just told me, ‘Go and accept Ifa now, so that you can be protected.’ I did it. I just wish that I had known Ifa at the beginning,” he said.

Explaining his current spiritual identity, the Gongo Aso singer declared, “I’m not Christian, I’m not Muslim. I’m a herbalist. I tell people and they run away from me. I’m an African. That’s what I practice.

I have found my own light in my own way.” Referencing late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, 9ice said, “When Fela was talking, Fela used to go to Ogun. We were like ‘this guy, what’s he doing?’ Now I know.” He went on to share a belief that shaped his journey: “God said, ‘I will never come to you in a different language from your people.’

You will understand later that this black continent is for black people and we have our own messengers.” To end, 9ice used a metaphor to explain spiritual diversity: “Is it one road that enters Lekki Phase 1? You can pass through this way, I can pass through that way. Just get there—with loyalty, with sincerity. That’s all.”

We were like ‘this guy, what’s he doing?’ Now I know.” He went on to share a belief that shaped his journey: “God said, ‘I will never come to you in a different language from your people.’ You will understand later that this black continent is for black people and we have our own messengers.” To end, 9ice used a metaphor to explain spiritual diversity: “Is it one road that enters Lekki Phase 1? You can pass through this way, I can pass through that way. Just get there—with loyalty, with sincerity. That’s all.”

  • ''I'M NOT A CHRISTIAN ANYMORE'' FALZ REVEALS NEW FOUNDED RELIGION

In a world where faith is often reduced to rules and religion to rigidity, Nigerian rapper and social critic Falz the Bahd Guy is pushing the conversation into new, thought-provoking terrain.

Reacting to the bombshell he dropped online in his official X account, formerly known as Twitter, where he says that “fornication is no sin.” He stated “I believe the concept of sin is manipulated,” “We judge people for things that are deeply human, while ignoring the corruption, lies, and injustice around us.”

Falz’s view on fornication is not about glorifying sex. It’s about confronting the way religion has been weaponized, not just to control behavior, but to shame people into silence, guilt, and fear.

Falz represents a growing population of young Africans who are spiritual but not religious seekers who crave meaning, but are turned off by the double standards they see in churches and mosques.

Then, doubling down on his recently adopted values in a recent interview with Arise News, he clarified: “I’m not a Christian. I just believe in the religion of love.”

His “religion of love” is a rejection of legalism, not of morality. “I’m not a Christian,” he said. “I don’t follow religious rules. But I believe in something higher, and that’s love. Treating people right. Living with honesty. That’s my faith.”

For him, it’s not about going to church or quoting scripture. It’s about living with integrity, choosing empathy, and rejecting judgment.

By declaring that he practices “the religion of love,” Falz is rewriting the spiritual script, not with arrogance, but with intentionality. In a society often torn by tribalism, religious wars, and moral policing.
