• Tragedy at Lagos Govt Clinic: Father Claims Twin Babies Died After Fake Immunisation, Demands Justice

A Lagos resident has accused Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre of causing the deaths of his nine-month-old twin boys after routine immunisation on December 24, 2025. In a viral video, he alleged the children were given fake or inappropriate drugs, including worm medicine without consent, which left them weak and led to their deaths the next day. The grieving father is appealing for legal help and human rights intervention, fearing bias since the facility is government-run. He warns other parents to verify vaccines given to their children, while Lagos health authorities have yet to respond.

  • News Brief: NAFDAC Warns Nigerians Over Circulation Of Fake Postinor-2

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has warned the public about counterfeit batches of Postinor-2, an emergency contraceptive pill.

The agency said the fake products, which pose serious health risks, were flagged by the Society for Family Health (SFH), the licensed distributor of the original brand.

Packaging errors such as misspellings — including “Veify” instead of “Verify” and “Distnibuted in Nigeria” — distinguish the fake from the authentic product.

    Counterfeit batches include:

Type 1: Batch No. T36184B (Mfg. Aug 2024, Exp. Aug 2028)

Type 2: Batch No. 332 (Mfg. Mar 2023, Exp. Feb 2027)

The genuine Postinor-2 currently in circulation is Batch No. T32458H (Mfg. Feb 2023, Exp. Feb 2027).

NAFDAC warned that the fake drugs could cause severe side effects, contraceptive failure, long-term reproductive harm, or even death.
