📢 Chaos at LASU Agriculture Faculty: Students Protest Year-Long Delay in Results

Students at the School of Agriculture, Lagos State University (LASU), are sounding the alarm over a year-long delay in the release of their academic results. Many say the backlog has disrupted studies, stalled career opportunities, and left them unable to plan for the new academic session.

The delay affects all levels and departments, with graduates from the Department of Agricultural Extension reportedly still waiting for their first-semester results. Students blame unresolved administrative issues dating back to the controversial tenure of former Dean Prof. O.T.F. Abanikanda, who was removed in May 2025 amid allegations of harsh treatment and intimidation.

Despite the appointment of a new Dean, Dr. Oladele Ojuromi, students claim the problem persists, with repeated excuses and no concrete solutions. They are now urging LASU management to urgently upload all pending results, warning that continued inaction could irreversibly harm their academic futures.

“This delay is unacceptable. Our education and career prospects are at stake,” said one student.

The LASU administration has yet to issue an official response.
