Afrobeats Royalty Unite: D’banj, 2Baba & Timaya Set for Reunion Tour
Afrobeats legend D’banj has revealed exciting plans for a joint tour with fellow music icons 2Baba and Timaya, marking a powerful comeback for the pioneers who helped take Afrobeats global.
Speaking during an interview with Adesope Live in London, D’banj reflected on the genre’s journey from its humble West African beginnings in the 2000s to becoming a global phenomenon today. He praised the relentless efforts of artists, industry leaders, and the African diaspora for pushing the sound into mainstream consciousness.
“Timaya told me, ‘Banger, it’s time to come out.’ 2Face agreed. So yes, we’re doing a tour—and dropping a new song too, ‘Feeling Good’.”
The tour, set to be themed around gratitude, will not only celebrate their musical legacy but also honor fans who have supported Afrobeats through the decades.
