The statement, according to Annie, left her overwhelmed with emotion and tears.

“That statement hit me so deeply and made me feel so emotional,” she wrote, reflecting on how much she misses her girls and the challenges of adjusting to her new reality.

Her story serves as a reminder that even in the glitz of fame, stars, too, face moments of deep pain, love, and healing.

  • African Queen’ was a collaboration, not stolen 2Baba.

Renowned Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has spoken out on the long-standing controversy surrounding the authorship of his hit song, African Queen.

In an interview on the 234 Mzansi Podcast, posted on Monday via YouTube, 2Baba clarified that the song, which catapulted him to global fame and played a pivotal role in putting Nigerian music on the world map, was a collaborative effort between him and former bandmate, Blackface.

“It’s a collab. I wrote most of the song actually, but we wrote it together,” he said.

The legendary singer, however, expressed disappointment over the ongoing accusations by Blackface, who has repeatedly claimed sole ownership of the song.

“For me, the law and the legal things speak for themselves. So I’m not somebody to come and start… I don’t know what his intentions are. I don’t know what I’ve ever done to him,” 2Baba stated.

  • Tension as D’Banj lists top three artistes, excludes Wizkid::

Veteran Nigerian singer D’banj has ignited a heated conversation online after revealing his current top three music stars, excluding the global Afrobeats sensation Wizkid.

Speaking during an appearance on the Adesope Live podcast, the music icon was asked to list the three artistes he is currently listening to.

Without holding back, the Koko Master hailed Rema, Davido, and Burna Boy, praising their artistry, dedication, and stage presence.

“Shout out to Rema. I like his energy… Then there is Davido. People should learn from the way he carries himself, like he doesn’t have a penny, yet he’s so consistent. Burna Boy is too intentional, his live shows are amazing,” D’banj remarked.

While many fans applauded his picks, the omission of Wizkid, a Grammy winner and one of Nigeria’s most influential music exports, sparked sharp reactions across social media, with many accusing D’banj and the show’s host, Adesope Olajide, of bias.
