    Anambra based popular entrepreneur Ifesinachi Onyekere (widely known on social media as “Fish Magnet.” Onyekere) who was kidnapped days earlier by unidentified gunmen, has been confirmed dead.

    According to zagozola the incident occurred on Saturday night in Okpuno, a suburb near Awka, the Anambra State capital. According to eyewitnesses, heavily armed men stormed the residence of Onyekere around 10:30 p.m. in Ezinifite Village.   • Police Rescue 12 Trafficked Children in Abia State; Two Suspects Arrested

    In a significant operation on May 19, 2025, the Abia State Police Command rescued 12 children—ranging from two months to 14 years old—from a suspected illegal orphanage in Arochukwu Local Government Area. The children were found under the care of a couple, Blessing Emebo (49) and Sunday Emebo (42), who are now in police custody.

    The rescued children include:

    Male: Ojiugo Caleb (14), Christian Okoro (12), Samuel Okoro (13), Clinton Nkemakolam (9), Godwin Emmanuel (10), Osinachi Nkemakolam (6), Marvellous Emmanuel (5), David Emmanuel (7), Testimony Emebo (2 months).

    Female: Ogechi Nkemakolam (9), Chinaza Okoro (9), Anointing Okoro (7).

    These children were reportedly brought from various villages in Arochukwu and were found in the custody of the suspects.

    The suspects were apprehended based on credible intelligence and are currently undergoing interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Umuahia. The police have assured that the suspects will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
