According to police authorities, Okafor was formally served an invitation through his legal representative and is expected to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, to appear before the Deputy Commissioner of Police overseeing the unit.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, ordered a comprehensive and unbiased investigation following several complaints against the cleric.
