  • Sowore Slams Tinubu Police IG Over Silence as 25 Schoolgirls Are Abducted and Brigadier General kill.

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has sharply criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of Nigeria’s security agencies following the abduction of twenty-five schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the execution of a Brigadier General by Boko Haram/ISWAP. In a strongly worded message shared on his verified Facebook page, Sowore condemned what he described as the government’s disturbing silence in the face of national tragedy.

Sowore noted that despite the kidnapping of the schoolgirls, President Tinubu’s public statement of the day focused instead on offering a casual greeting to a “seasoned banker.” He also accused the Inspector General of Police of failing to make any comment, calling the IGP incompetent, illegally appointed, and long overdue for dismissal, especially after what he described as a disastrous handling of the Yelwata massacre in Benue.

The activist further expressed outrage that even after a senior military officer was executed, the President has still not addressed the nation. He argued that the absence of reassurance, outrage, or leadership reflects a government disconnected from its citizens.

According to Sowore, a country where schoolgirls are abducted and officers are murdered while leaders remain silent is a failed state.

  • Our Moral Fabrics Is Gone,We Honor Thieves”Melaye Says,Shares Photo Of FIFA Stadium In Kebbi,Kenya.

Former lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) government over what he described as a glaring case of mismanagement involving FIFA’s $1.2 million grant meant for sports development in Nigeria.

In a post shared on his X handle (formerly Twitter), Melaye compared a stadium reportedly built in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, with another constructed in Kenya. Both facilities were said to have been funded by FIFA with identical grants of $1.2 million to support football infrastructure across African nations.

“FIFA gave Nigeria $1.2 million and they gave Kenya $1.2 million. The goal was for both of them to build stadiums for football development. Our moral fabrics is gone, we celebrate rogues, we honor thieves. Up APC,” Melaye wrote.

Images shared by the former senator showed the Kenyan project as a modern, well-equipped football stadium with standard seating and professional facilities. In stark contrast, the Nigerian version appeared as a small, underdeveloped mini-stadium with limited infrastructure, a situation that has stirred widespread outrage on social media.

Melaye’s post has triggered a flurry of reactions, with many Nigerians demanding answers from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Ministry of Sports on how the FIFA funds were expended. Critics argued that the difference between the two projects reflects deeper corruption and poor accountability in public spending.

  • NSCDC Shuts Down ₦1.43 Trillion Illegal Lithium Mine In Kebbi Linked To Foreign Collusion

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has sealed an illegal lithium mining site in Kebbi State over an alleged ₦1.43 trillion mineral theft — in what may be one of the biggest mining frauds in Nigeria’s history.

The site, operated by Three Crown Mines Ltd, was shut down following a Federal High Court order. Authorities revealed that the company, in collusion with foreign nationals, illegally extracted lithium far beyond their licensed limits, breaching both the 2007 Minerals and Mining Act and 2011 Mining Regulations.

Despite a formal summons, the company’s directors snubbed investigators, citing “inconvenience,” a move strongly condemned by NSCDC officials. The Corps warned of zero tolerance going forward.

The crackdown aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and underscores the strategic importance of lithium in Nigeria’s economic future — and the urgent need to curb mineral looting.
