Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in the early hours of Sunday 26th October, 2025, raided Proxy Night club at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, where a drug party was going on. Over 100 suspects including the owner of the club, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, alias Pretty Mike, were arrested and taken into custody for screening. Cartons of illicit substances including Loud, and laughing gas, were recovered from suspects at the party and the club’s store. NAN reports that the zone five command located in the South-south Geo-political Zone comprises Edo and Delta. This is contained in a statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tijani Momoh, in Abuja. The exercise, the command said, is in line with the existing laws and directives of IGP Kayode Egbetokun, which apply to all vehicles with tinted glasses, whether factory or non-factory fitted. Momoh quoted the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the zone, Salma-Dogo Garba, as saying that the enforcement would also affect the subsisting ban on the unauthorised use of sirens.
