  • Trump’s threat: Whoever wrote your October 1 speech doesn’t like you, Pastor Adeboye tells Tinubu.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has criticised a section of President Bola Tinubu’s October 1 Independence Day speech on security, saying whoever wrote the speech for the president “does not like him.”

Speaking during the November Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption City Campground, Adeboye said, “I almost spoke last month when I heard the speech of my in-law (Tinubu), particularly that section that spoke about security. I heard him saying all is well now, that displaced people have returned to their villages. I almost said the one who wrote that speech does not like him. Somebody wrote it, but it was the President who read it. There are several people around Tinubu who are not telling him the truth. The following day, we read that a traditional ruler was killed in Kwara or Kogi.”

Adeboye noted that while the President inherited Nigeria’s security challenges, the focus should now be on taking decisive action to resolve them.

“Our President inherited this problem. I am an applied mathematician; I am only interested in getting the problem solved.”

He also urged the Federal Government to move wisely, diplomatically, and decisively in addressing insecurity and the alleged killings of Christians in some parts of the country.

“If I am asked to make suggestions, I will say quietly to the governments to move wisely, diplomatically. I have cousins. There were times in Nigeria when Christians and Muslims were living together. I have families that are Muslims till date. When I was little, I ate sari with them, and I still eat my breakfast, but the issue of religion started when politics came into religion.”

The cleric said he had privately advised past presidents on the security crisis but noted that his role was limited to offering counsel.

“All the presidents who were around when this trouble started, whatever I discussed is top privacy. I have done my best behind the scenes, but as I have always told you, you can only advise a Commander-in-Chief; you cannot command him. But I have tried. God is my witness.”

  • Don’t expect Russia or China to save Nigeria if the U.S. invades; they’ll just condemn America in strong terms and do nothing, says Pastor Adeboye.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigeria’s service chiefs to act swiftly against the rising wave of killings across the country.

Speaking during the November Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption Camp, Adeboye said terrorists and their sponsors must be eliminated “no matter how influential they may be,” and called on the President to seek diplomatic support from the United States.

    On current action, he said:
“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists they should eliminate their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be.”

Warning against reliance on foreign powers, Adeboye added:
“If America should attack us, China is not coming to defend us. Russia will not come to defend us… Britain is not going to come and help us.”

He stressed the urgency of the situation:
“This is not the time for joking. This is not the time for drama… The point is, people are dying. Innocent people are dying.”

Critiquing a recent presidential statement, he said:
“I almost spoke last month when I heard the speech of my in-law, the President… where I heard him say, ‘All is well now, displaced people have returned to their villages.’ I almost said, ‘The one who wrote that speech for my President, my in-law, does not like him.’”

    Adeboye concluded:
“Do you think I asked you to fast for 100 days for fun? Didn’t I share with you, my children, that God said this would be a remarkable year? Didn’t I share with you that God said the wind that started blowing last year would be more violent this year?”

  • Don’t Just Criticise Leaders , Be the Solution — Pastor Adeboye Tells Nigerian Youths.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on young Nigerians to rise above mere criticism of leadership and focus on becoming solution providers.

Speaking in a devotional message titled “From Critic to Activist” from the Open Heavens Daily Devotional, Adeboye said while criticism may draw attention, real change comes through wisdom, knowledge, and practical action.

“Don’t just criticise people or systems; be part of the solution you want to see,” he urged. “Statues are never built for critics. Protests and placards may highlight problems, but what matters is the ability to provide answers.”

He cautioned against empty zeal, stressing the importance of strategy and capacity-building. “Beloved, God has a great plan for you, but overzealousness without wisdom can derail it. Grow in knowledge so your passion produces lasting impact,” he added.

After more than five decades in ministry, Adeboye concluded by urging the youth to combine divine guidance with practical steps, channeling their energy towards transformation that leaves a lasting legacy.

  • Pastor Adeboye Reveals The Day He'll Die And Go To Heaven, Tells Members They Shouldn't Ask Him Why.

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has declared that believers can live free from sickness, insisting that death does not have to be preceded by illness. He coupled this declaration with a personal testimony of how he envisions his own passing, drawing both laughter and reflection from worshippers at the church’s ongoing convention.

“I know people have asked, if you are never sick again, how are you going to die? Who told you you have to be sick to die?” Adeboye asked the congregation. “When your day comes, you just leave and go.”

The 83-year-old cleric went on to describe how he believes his final moments on earth will unfold. “I’m sure I’ve told you how I will go. If the Lord tarries, it’s going to be on a Sunday. I will go to church, have a wonderful service, come back home, eat pounded yam, and go,” he said, smiling as the audience responded with murmurs of agreement and amusement.

Challenging the congregation to embrace divine health, Adeboye declared, “Let me hear somebody say loud and clear, ‘I will never be sick again.’” He stressed that healing is not only possible but guaranteed for those who believe, citing biblical examples to strengthen his point.

Referencing Mark 2:1–2, Adeboye recounted the story of a paralyzed man brought to Jesus by friends who refused to be deterred by obstacles. “There was no room at the door to pass through, no room by the windows,” he said. “These people decided to get violent. They climbed the roof, broke the roof, and lowered their friend at the feet of Jesus.”

With a hint of humor, he added, “By the way, do you know that nobody told us who repaired the roof?” The crowd laughed as Adeboye pointed out that the man, once paralyzed, walked out carrying the mat that had once carried him.

Concluding his message, the RCCG leader pronounced a blessing over those present. “I stand before you tonight to decree: every one of you who came here sick, you will go back home healed,” he declared to loud applause and shouts of “Amen.”

  • Coaches Deserve Equal Pay As The Players— Says Pastor Adeboye.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye has weighed in on the ongoing debate about compensation for the Super Falcons’ coaches, saying they should not earn less than the players they train.

Speaking on Sunday during the RCCG’s monthly Thanksgiving Service in Ebute-Meta, Lagos, the 82-year-old cleric praised President Bola Tinubu for rewarding the Falcons’ 2024 WAFCON victory with generous gifts, but questioned the disparity in rewards between players and coaches.

Tinubu had awarded the naira equivalent of $100,000 to each of the 24 Super Falcons players and promised each a three-bedroom apartment. Meanwhile, the team’s technical crew—including head coach Justin Madugu—were awarded the equivalent of $50,000.

Reacting during his sermon titled The Winning Team, Pastor Adeboye said, “I thank the President for the gifts to the Falcons. However, I’m not quite sure I agree that the coaches should get less than the players.

Without coaches, the team would not succeed.” He continued, “When you read Revelation 2:17, you’ll see overcomers are rewarded. So, I wasn’t surprised when the President decided to honour the team. But let’s not forget the coaches. God bless them.”

Adeboye, who was a trained boxer in his youth, shared a personal story about his coach from 1960. “That man gave us a tough time. We once asked if we were training for the army. But today, I thank him.

He built us. A good coach sees your potential and pushes you beyond it.” He concluded by highlighting that while players execute the game, it’s the coaches who strategize, direct, and unlock excellence.

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called for better compensation for Nigerian sports coaches, saying they should not earn less than players.

Speaking during the RCCG’s monthly Thanksgiving Service in Lagos, Adeboye praised President Bola Tinubu for rewarding the Super Falcons’ historic 10th WAFCON title with $100,000 (naira equivalent) and a three-bedroom apartment for each player. He, however, questioned why the team’s coaches received only $50,000.

  • “They Say All Kinds of Nons+nse About Me” — Pastor Adeboye Vows Not to React to Ins¥lts Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God says no amount of ins¥ltss or provocation will push him to react in ang+r.

Speaking during the July Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption City in Mowe, Ogun State on July 4, 2025 Adeboye said he has remained calm despite repeated verbal att+ckss. “A lot of people have been saying whatever they want – all kinds of nons+nse about me & they are waiting for me to get angry one day.

That is what they are planning but I’m going to reach my goal,” he said. He urged his followers not to fall into the trap of those who intentionally provoke them to react irrationally, warning that ang+r can destroy destinies.“ang+r is temporary m+dness.

You don’t want to be mad. Some people will do some things that will cause you to be angry but don’t fall into their trap,” he cautioned. “One of the easiest ways to have your destiny d+stroyed is to get angr¥,” he added.

Adeboye also shared a personal experience involving an unnamed African head of state who sought divine healing after exhausting medical treatment.

The leader, after hearing testimonies about Adeboye’s healing ministry, asked to see him. “I remember the case of one head of state somewhere in Africa who had a problem that no doctor could handle, and somehow he heard that there is a man of God who can heal him.

So, he called our pastor in the capital of his country and said send for your General Overseer,” Adeboye said. “The pastor phoned and delivered the message but I said tell the excellency that I’m very busy (I didn’t want to explain that there is one excellency that is more excellent than the other), but I’m sorry I can’t come.”

According to Adeboye, his calendar was booked a year in advance. “I think when the problem reached a stage, he (head of state) changed his mind, and the very day he got on this campground, God solved the problem,” he added.
