Bandits Kill 13 Worshippers In Katsina Mosque
Armed bandits attacked a mosque in Unguwan Mantau, Malumfashi LGA of Katsina State, during early morning (Fajr) prayers on Tuesday, killing 13 worshippers.
According to the State Commissioner for Internal Security, Dr. Nasiru Mu’azu, the assault was a reprisal after residents recently ambushed bandits, killing some, rescuing abducted victims, and seizing weapons.
The state government has deployed security reinforcements, including the army and police, to restore order. Governor Dikko Radda’s administration expressed condolences and pledged continued support for community security initiatives.
