Kaduna PDP Alleges Abduction of Candidate, 25 Members by Security Forces
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna has accused security forces acting under Governor Uba Sani’s orders of abducting its House of Reps bye-election candidate, Princess Esther Ashivelli Dawaki, and 25 party members at City Den Hotel, Malali.
The PDP claims the operatives, part of Operation Fushin Kada, stormed the hotel in search of its Campaign Council Chairman, Hussein Ahmed-Kero. Failing to find him, they allegedly whisked away Dawaki and others.
The party condemned the action as an abuse of power and assault on democracy, calling on President Tinubu, the IGP, DSS, and military chiefs to intervene.
The incident comes ahead of the INEC bye-election for Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency.
