Nigerian Police Reclaim Suspect in FRSC Officer and Daughter Killing After Extradition From Ghana

Article:
The Nigeria Police Force has taken custody of Victor Benjamin Fejemirokun, a fugitive accused of abducting and killing a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer and her young daughter in Osun State.

Fejemirokun was handed over in Accra, Ghana, following a coordinated operation involving INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), Abuja, and the Ghana Police Service.

According to CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the force’s Public Relations Officer, Ghanaian authorities arrested Fejemirokun after receiving credible intelligence about his hideout.

Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun extended his condolences to the bereaved family and assured a “thorough” investigation that will lead to the suspect’s arraignment once the probe concludes.

Fejemirokun reportedly fled Nigeria shortly after the alleged crime. Authorities say he is linked to the killing of Lasisi Funmilayo, a senior FRSC officer, and her daughter Sewa—whose remains were later found in Osun.
