Edo Assembly Summons Natasha Irobosa Over Viral Video of Husband 2Baba’s Alleged Police Arrest in London

The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned Egor Constituency lawmaker, Natasha Irobosa, to appear before its Standing Committee on Ethics and Privileges following viral videos involving her and her husband, Nigerian music star Innocent “2Baba” Idibia. The summons aims to allow Irobosa defend herself against allegations of misconduct after videos showed an altercation between the couple in a London shop, alongside another viral clip purportedly showing 2Baba being arrested by police in the UK.

Although UK authorities have not confirmed the alleged arrest, the videos have sparked widespread public reaction and raised concerns about the lawmaker’s conduct. The Assembly says the investigation is necessary to protect the integrity of the legislature. Irobosa is expected to appear before the committee within one week, with a full report due in two weeks.

Earlier in October, similar claims of 2Baba’s arrest surfaced, which the singer denied, stating he had suffered a medical emergency that caused him to miss a scheduled UK tour date. He urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information.
