  • Nollywood actress Uche Montana Denies mysterious "drug supplier" Allegations.

According to a report by Punch, Nollywood actress Uche Montana has forcefully refuted sensational claims circulating online that she is the mysterious "drug supplier" to fellow actress and billionaire wife, Regina Daniels.

The widespread rumor gained considerable traction across various social media platforms, causing a significant stir and threatening to damage Montana's hard-earned reputation.

In a swift and decisive move, the actress took to her official social media channels to address the defamatory allegations head-on, firmly declaring her complete innocence and demanding a public retraction from the sources.

The controversy first erupted following vague yet persistent online reports mentioning a popular actress who allegedly supplies illicit substances to a prominent married colleague in the industry.

Although names were initially withheld, social media commentators quickly linked the accusations to Regina Daniels and Uche Montana, primarily due to their perceived association within the tightly-knit movie industry circle.

This rapid spread of speculation demonstrates the unchecked power and sometimes reckless nature of the digital mob, forcing celebrities to frequently defend their personal lives against baseless claims.

Taking a strong stance against the slander, Uche Montana categorically denied any involvement in any form of drug-related or illicit activities whatsoever.

She expressed extreme disappointment and profound anger over the baseless rumors, labeling them as malicious, calculated attempts by hidden detractors to permanently tarnish her valuable brand and successful career trajectory.

  • "I GO ON MY KNEES AND PRAY BEFORE I KISS ON SET"– ACTOR DANIEL ETIM-EFFIONG.

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Daniel Etim-Effiong has opened up about his approach to filming romantic scenes, revealing that he prays before every intimate moment on set. He said his faith keeps him grounded despite the demands and temptations of his profession.

The actor, who made his directorial debut with The Herd, explained that before shooting any romantic scene, he seeks divine guidance, describing the act as part of his worship.

“I get all my inspiration from God,” Etim-Effiong said during an interview on Channels TV’s Rubbin’ Minds. “I go on my knees and pray before I go to set and kiss.”

Etim-Effiong, who has faced public criticism for his romantic roles especially after a viral scene in Summer Rain where he kissed actress Bolaji Ogunmola clarified that his focus remains on storytelling, not controversy.

“The fact that I play a lot of romantic roles means I get to have kissing scenes sometimes. But the question should go to the producers, why are they expressing affection only one way? There are other ways to show intimacy,” he said.

The 37-year-old actor, who left a successful career in engineering to pursue acting, said his decision was driven by purpose and faith.

“My family is my garden, then my work. Acting feels like a calling to me, a way to worship through storytelling,” he added.

Speaking further, the actor explained that producers often include romantic scenes in movies because of audience preference.

“The average Nollywood script says, ‘kiss passionately,’ because that’s what sells. But I believe there are braver ways to explore affection on screen,” he said.

Despite the attention his roles attract, Etim-Effiong maintained that faith, focus, and family remain his guiding principles.

“When you’re a focused person, you don’t let naysayers get to you,” he said. “You just do your job and move with purpose.”

  • Tee Famous Reveals How His Strict Deeper Life Father Discovered His Acting Career

Nigerian actor, former production manager, and Afrobeats singer Tee Famous has shared the intriguing story of how his father, a strict Deeper Life member, initially disapproved of his acting ambitions—until fate changed everything.

Speaking on Talk-to-B, Tee Famous explained that he began acting in secret, relying on his married sister to cover for him. Whenever he went to movie sets, he would tell his family he was at her house, and she would confirm the story whenever their parents asked.

This arrangement worked until one evening when his father unexpectedly saw him on a local TV station. Though shocked, his father said nothing. But the real turning point came when people at his father’s mechanic workshop began congratulating him on having a son in the movie industry.

From that day, Tee Famous said, his father’s perspective changed completely, shifting from skepticism to support for his career.

“My dad is a Deeper Life member, and you know what that means. I couldn’t tell him directly. My sister always covered for me until one day, he saw me on TV. At first, he didn’t say anything, but when people started hailing him at his workshop, everything changed. From that moment, he began to think differently about the job.”

The actor revealed that reconciling his passion with his father’s approval gave him the courage to keep pursuing both film and music.

  • Trump imposes 100% Tariff on Foreign-Made Movies.

U.S. President Donald Trump has again declared a 100 percent tariff on films produced outside the United States, a move he says is aimed at protecting Hollywood from foreign competition.

In a Truth Social post on Monday, Trump accused other countries of “stealing” America’s film industry, comparing it to “stealing candy from a baby.” He argued that California, under what he described as a weak and ineffective governor, has suffered the most from the industry’s decline.

“To solve this long-standing problem, I will be imposing a 100% tariff on all movies made outside of the United States,” Trump wrote, signing off with his signature slogan: “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The announcement comes months after a similar declaration in May, when Trump described the outsourcing of film production as a national security threat. At the time, he claimed that tax incentives and cheaper costs abroad were luring producers away from the U.S., weakening Hollywood.

Trump said he had directed the Commerce Department to begin implementation, but details of how the policy would work and when it might take effect remain unclear. It is also uncertain whether the latest announcement represents an expansion of May’s proposal or simply a reinforcement of it.

  • Jamaican Track Legend, Usain Bolt, Admits Retirement Made Him Feel ‘Human’ as He Gets Out of Breath Walking Up the Stairs

Eight-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt has revealed that life after retirement has reminded him he is “human” again, admitting he now gets out of breath just walking up the stairs.

Speaking to reporters at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, the 39-year-old Jamaican still the world record holder in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay, explained that a ruptured achilles means he no longer runs, relying mostly on gym workouts instead.

“No, I mostly stick to gym workouts. I’m not a fan, but I think now that I’ve been out for a while, I have to start running again because, when I walk up stairs, I get out of breath,” Bolt said. “Once I get serious about it again, I’ll probably need to do some laps just to fix my breathing.”

Bolt, who retired from professional sprinting in 2017, also gave a glimpse into his daily routine, noting he spends most of his time with his children.

“Normally I wake up just in time to see the kids off to school. If I have nothing planned, I just chill, maybe work out if I’m in the mood, or watch some series until the kids get back. Then I hang out with them until they start annoying me, and after that, I just relax, watch movies or play with Lego,” he said with a laugh.

On why today’s sprinters haven’t matched the times set by his generation despite advances in technology, Bolt was blunt: “You want the real answer? We were just more talented. That’s it. You can see it especially in the men’s races. The women, on the other hand, are improving a lot and running faster times. But for the men, it comes down to talent.”

Taking his advice to heart, she resolved not to date anyone in Nollywood and often used his name as a shield against unwanted advances. However, she later received a word of advice from Olatunji’s wife, who encouraged her to take a different approach. According to Arike, the wife gently told her to stop hiding behind her husband’s name and instead learn to boldly reject suitors on her own terms.

  • Blind Man Regains Sight After His Tooth Was Implanted in His Eye in Groundbreaking Surgery.

A 34-year-old Canadian man has regained his vision after more than two decades of blindness, thanks to a rare and unusual procedure known as “tooth-in-eye” surgery.

Brent Chapman from North Vancouver lost his sight at age 13 following a rare allergic reaction to ibuprofen, called Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which left him blind in both eyes. For over 20 years, he tried different treatments without lasting success until he met Dr. Greg Moloney, an ophthalmologist at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital in Vancouver.

Dr. Moloney recommended the unconventional “tooth-in-eye” procedure, first developed in the 1960s and performed on only a few hundred people worldwide.

The surgery involves removing a patient’s tooth, flattening it, drilling a small hole, and fitting a prosthetic lens inside. The tooth, carrying the lens, is then implanted in front of the eye, allowing the patient to see. Because it uses the patient’s own tooth, the risk of rejection is significantly reduced.

Chapman admitted he was skeptical at first, saying the idea sounded “like something out of a science fiction movie.” But the results were immediate—he could see his hands moving right after surgery, and once fully healed, his vision improved to 20/30 in the treated eye.

“I feel fantastic. Vision comes back, and it’s a whole new world,” Chapman told WABC after the life-changing procedure.

  • Police Officers Can Break Doors, Roofs to Arrest Uncooperative Suspects — NPF

The Nigeria Police Force says officers have the legal authority to force entry into premises if suspects resist arrest.

Deputy Force PRO, CSP Victor Isuku, disclosed this at the premiere of Greatest Oath (The Rescue), a film by Ocean Portal in collaboration with the Police, held in Benin, Edo State.

“The police can break down the door of an uncooperative suspect, enter his apartment through the roof, or get into his premises by scaling the fence. Don’t hinder the police from arresting a suspect, as you will also be arrested,” Isuku warned.

He stressed that obstructing police work is an offence and clarified that phone searches are only lawful when there is reasonable suspicion.

“If you are suspected of cybercrime, your phone will be checked. The police will not just stop you on the road and begin to search you, it is unethical. The IG frowns at such practice.”

Isuku further reminded Nigerians that bail is free and urged them to support the Force with equipment, not cash.

Ocean Portal CEO, Dickson Oviase, said the movie was inspired by #EndSARS and the need for stronger community-police relations.

“The vacuum of the absence of police in our society stared us in the face… Let’s come together and enhance community policing. God bless Nigeria.”

Zone 5 spokesman, Tijani Momoh, praised the project and revealed the Police provided logistics support.
