Former Zamfara Aide Alleges Defence Minister Matawalle Funded Bandits, Hid Arrested Terror Leader
A former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) in Zamfara State, Musa Muhammad Kamara, has accused Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, of allegedly funding armed bandits, purchasing vehicles for terror leaders, and concealing a notorious bandit following his arrest. Kamara claimed in a video obtained by SaharaReporters that under Matawalle’s tenure as Zamfara governor, cash and vehicles were distributed to commanders including Kachalla Halilu, Bello Turji, and Ado Aleru. He also alleged he handled the purchase of a house for Turji and that ₦88 million meant for Sallah cow distribution was misappropriated. Kamara said he has evidence and intends to go to court to substantiate the claims.
