Speaking in reaction to Trump’s remarks in a viral video released on Friday, Barau urged Trump to immediately withdraw his recent threat against Nigeria and issue a public apology for describing the country as “disgraced.”

  • You know I am capable of making you fall —Actress Regina informs Ned after he arrested her siblings.

Nollywood star Regina Daniels has allegedly issued a stern warning to her estranged billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko, following reports that he ordered the arrest of her siblings amid their ongoing family dispute. In what appears to be one of the most dramatic escalations in their marital saga, Regina was said to have confronted Nwoko with a message filled with defiance, emotion, and a pledge to protect her family at all cost.

“You know I am capable of making you fall,” the actress reportedly declared, signaling that she is prepared to stand her ground and challenge her husband’s influence and power. The statement, which has since gone viral across social media platforms, reflects growing tension between the former couple, whose once-glamorous union has spiraled into a public conflict.

A man wearing a white traditional outfit with geometric patterns and a red cap stands next to a woman in a white long-sleeved dress with a pink floral skirt holding a white fan and a black handbag both smiling and posing in a room with beige walls adorned with a large decorative plate and several framed photos including one of a man in formal attire.

According to circulating accounts, Regina’s brother and sister were allegedly picked up by police under directives linked to Nwoko, sparking outrage among fans and fueling speculation that the businessman is leveraging his position to intimidate her family. Regina, known for her calm public presence, took a rare combative tone, expressing frustration over what she described as unnecessary aggression.

“Why go after my siblings? They are innocent. If you have issues with me, face me directly,” she reportedly said, while calling for the immediate release of her family members. She emphasized that no amount of intimidation would silence her or force her into submission.

A screenshot from Instagram shows a post by Regina Daniels with text about a violent arrest and power dynamics, accompanied by a photo of a man in traditional attire and a woman in a red dress posing together. Another image depicts a Nigerian police officer in uniform standing near a group including a man in white and red outfit and a woman in a black top. A third photo features the couple in elegant attire, the woman in a sparkling red gown and the man in a suit, sitting closely on a couch.

Observers note that Regina’s tone marks a dramatic shift from the early days of their marriage, when she was often cautious and reserved when addressing controversies surrounding her relationship with Nwoko. This time, she appears unapologetically protective of her family, asserting that wealth and political influence should not be weaponized.

Fans have been divided online — with some supporting Regina for finally “standing up for herself,” while others urge both parties to settle their issues privately to avoid further public embarrassment. Meanwhile, legal experts and public commentators warn that the matter could escalate if not handled with caution.

  • Akpabio Slams Viral Post Mocking Trump: “It’s a Complete Fabrication” — Senate President Denies Making Anti-Trump Comments

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has firmly denied a viral social media post alleging that he mocked U.S. President Donald Trump over his recent comments on alleged Christian persecution in Nigeria.

The Senate leader, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, described the viral post as “malicious, fabricated, and reckless misinformation”, warning Nigerians to disregard it entirely.

The controversial post, circulated by a social media page known as Rant HQ, falsely quoted Akpabio as saying that Nigerians were “satisfied with killings” and that Trump should “focus on the U.S.” The statement stirred widespread outrage amid rising diplomatic tension following Trump’s warning of possible military action in Nigeria.

“The post is a total falsehood — a product of mischief and a desperate attempt to incite misunderstanding between Senator Akpabio and President Trump,” Eyiboh stated.

He clarified that Akpabio, known for his diplomatic approach and global reputation, holds Trump in “high regard as a leader of a great nation” and would “never issue comments on matters concerning U.S. domestic affairs or Nigeria’s foreign policy.”

The Senate President’s office condemned the post as “digital recklessness aimed at tarnishing reputations and inflaming diplomatic sentiments,” urging social media users to verify information before sharing.

Trump’s earlier post on Truth Social — where he threatened potential U.S. military intervention in Nigeria to tackle “Islamic terrorists” — has continued to generate global debate.

“Freedom of expression is not freedom to lie,” Eyiboh warned, calling for responsible communication online.

Akpabio’s office reaffirmed that the Senate remains focused on strengthening democratic institutions and maintaining Nigeria’s global diplomatic respect.

  • Asari Dokubo Warns Trump: ‘Nigeria Will Be the Graveyard of Any US Invasion’.

Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has issued a stern warning to United States President Donald Trump, cautioning him against making good on his alleged threat to launch a military incursion into Nigeria over claims of widespread Christian persecution.

In a viral video shared via Facebook, the ex-leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF) vowed that any American troops sent to Nigeria would meet fierce resistance. According to him, Nigeria would become “the graveyard” of Trump and any invading US forces.

“Let Trump come with his America, they will all die,” Asari declared passionately. “This lunatic wants to annex Canada, wants Iceland, wants to kill the president of Venezuela and the Supreme Leader of Iran. America is a sick country that elects madmen as leaders.”

The former warlord accused Trump of hypocrisy, saying the US ignored several humanitarian crises around the world while choosing to target Nigeria. “He can’t see the genocide in Congo, Gaza, or Sudan, but he’s talking about genocide against Christians in Nigeria,” he said. “If you come here, you’ll die here Nigeria will be your graveyard.”

Asari, who described himself as a Muslim raised among non-Muslims, also dismissed the idea that the killings in Nigeria are purely religious, insisting that both Muslims and Christians are victims of the ongoing violence.

He concluded by warning that unlike others who merely talk, he and his allies are ready to act if Nigeria’s sovereignty is threatened.

  • Tiktoker Peller alleges his female colleague Jarvis makes money through money Laundering.

Nigerian content creator Peller has spoken out about his past relationship with popular TikToker Jarvis, revealing shocking details about her alleged dealings and their personal struggles.

According to Peller, when Jarvis first came to Lagos, he assumed she was a wealthy influencer living a luxurious lifestyle. “When Jarvis came to Lagos, I thought she had money,” he said. “Not until she told me her story that those people gifting her then used to split it 50/50.”

Peller added that he was surprised to learn that Jarvis was allegedly involved in a money laundering scheme. “When she came, I thought she was a multi-millionaire. I didn’t know that she was into money laundering, where they send her money and later split it 50/50,” he revealed.

Despite the revelations, Peller said he continued to support her financially and emotionally. “I am always sending her money to add up before her target. • Soludo’s son Ozonna fires back at critics: I won’t change to please anyone.

Ozonna Soludo, son of Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, has responded to the criticism he frequently faces from Nigerians on social media, saying he has no intention of changing who he is to satisfy anyone.

Speaking in a recent interview with content creator Goodybagg, Ozonna said that being visible and confident naturally attracts negative attention, but he remains unbothered.

I think it just kind of comes with it. Anybody that is visible and confident, you are going to get hate. I’m not going to apologise to them for not liking me; I’m going to keep being myself, he said.

I don’t do this to be liked by everyone because I have a very strong sense of myself, and I’m not willing to apologise for that. We are billions of people on the planet, and we are all different.

His remarks come weeks after he sparked debate online by joining the viral ‘What’s in your bag’ challenge, where he revealed the contents of his personal bag.

While many praised his honesty and individuality, others criticised him harshly — with some making intrusive comments about his upbringing and sexuality.

Despite the backlash, Ozonna insists he will continue to live authentically, saying he has no plans to dim his confidence for anyone’s approval.

  • Reactions Trail Peter Obi's Comments As FIFA Says Funds Given To Build Stadium Was Mismanaged.

Former governor of Anambra State and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has drawn significant public attention following his reaction to reports alleging the mismanagement of funds provided by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) to the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).

The controversy erupted after footage of a sports facility, reportedly built with FIFA’s $1.2 million grant, surfaced on social media. The video quickly went viral, prompting outrage from Nigerians who questioned how such a large sum could result in a project that appeared substandard.

Many commentators described the development as another example of impunity and lack of accountability within the nation’s sporting institutions.

Reacting through a statement posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Peter Obi expressed deep disappointment over the situation. He described the NFF’s actions as heartbreaking, saying they mirrored the entrenched corruption that has hindered national progress.

Obi emphasized that sports, a sector capable of inspiring young people and uniting the country, had once again fallen victim to mismanagement and neglect.

According to the former governor, the alleged misuse of funds meant to promote football development reflects a broader disregard for the aspirations of Nigerian youths. He noted that such actions discourage hope and undermine the potential of sports as a tool for national development and unity.

Obi, who is widely known for his advocacy for prudent financial management and transparency in governance, urged authorities to hold those responsible accountable. His comments have since generated widespread discussion across various social media platforms, with many Nigerians calling for a full investigation into how the FIFA funds were utilized.

As of the time of this report, the Nigerian Football Federation has not issued an official response to the allegations.

  • Hisbah Cancels Court-Ordered Wedding of TikTok Celebrities in Kano After the Man Confessed He Lied About Being in Love With the Lady.

The Kano State Hisbah has cancelled the controversial court-ordered marriage between two TikTok celebrities after the groom withdrew his consent.

The union between Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda was initially ordered by a magistrate court following the circulation of their viral video showing them kissing and cuddling—an act considered indecent in Kano’s conservative Islamic society.

Kano, one of Nigeria’s northern states operating under Sharia and common law, had directed Hisbah to conduct the wedding within 60 days. However, preparations were halted when Mai Wushirya confessed that he lied to the court about being in love with Yar Guda to avoid prosecution.

Following his confession, Hisbah announced the cancellation of the planned wedding and said the matter would be referred back to the court for further action.

Before the cancellation, Mai Wushirya’s parents had consented to the marriage, and the state government had agreed to provide a house for the couple to meet the bride’s condition.

The court’s decision to compel the marriage had earlier drawn mixed reactions across Nigeria, with many describing it as a violation of human rights. Legal experts also criticized the ruling, noting that no court has the authority to force individuals into marriage against their will.

Kano remains a deeply conservative state and home to Kannywood, the Hausa-language film industry known for its strict moral and cultural codes.

  • ABU Debunks Viral Claim Linking It to Nuclear Weapons Development.

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has dismissed a viral social media video alleging that the institution was secretly involved in developing nuclear weapons for Nigeria.

In a statement by the university’s Director of Public Affairs, Malam Auwalu Umar, ABU described the AI-generated video as false, misleading, and deliberately crafted to misinform the public about Nigeria’s peaceful nuclear energy program.

The video had claimed that Nigerian scientists in the 1980s enriched weapons grade uranium in Kaduna, with ABU researchers allegedly obtaining centrifuge equipment from Pakistan’s AQ Khan network.

Umar, however, debunked these allegations as baseless and unsubstantiated, clarifying that during the 1980s, most scientists at ABU’s Centre for Energy Research and Training (CERT) were still undergoing training abroad and could not have been involved in any uranium enrichment activity.

He emphasized that all of Nigeria’s nuclear activities have been transparent and strictly for peaceful purposes, in line with the country’s commitments under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the Pelindaba Treaty, which ban nuclear weapons development.

According to Umar, the Centre for Energy Research and Training, founded in 1976, operates in partnership with the IAEA and other international collaborators from the U.S., Russia, and China and has never engaged in any secret weapons project.

“ABU has consistently focused on the peaceful use of nuclear science and technology to promote national development,” he stated, adding that the university’s founder, Sir Ahmadu Bello, had shown early interest in peaceful atomic research after visiting the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the U.S. in 1960.

He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to advancing science and technology for the benefit of humanity and to upholding Nigeria’s international obligations on the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

  • "I GO ON MY KNEES AND PRAY BEFORE I KISS ON SET"– ACTOR DANIEL ETIM-EFFIONG.

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Daniel Etim-Effiong has opened up about his approach to filming romantic scenes, revealing that he prays before every intimate moment on set. He said his faith keeps him grounded despite the demands and temptations of his profession.

The actor, who made his directorial debut with The Herd, explained that before shooting any romantic scene, he seeks divine guidance, describing the act as part of his worship.

“I get all my inspiration from God,” Etim-Effiong said during an interview on Channels TV’s Rubbin’ Minds. “I go on my knees and pray before I go to set and kiss.”

Etim-Effiong, who has faced public criticism for his romantic roles especially after a viral scene in Summer Rain where he kissed actress Bolaji Ogunmola clarified that his focus remains on storytelling, not controversy.

“The fact that I play a lot of romantic roles means I get to have kissing scenes sometimes. But the question should go to the producers, why are they expressing affection only one way? There are other ways to show intimacy,” he said.

The 37-year-old actor, who left a successful career in engineering to pursue acting, said his decision was driven by purpose and faith.

“My family is my garden, then my work. Acting feels like a calling to me, a way to worship through storytelling,” he added.

Speaking further, the actor explained that producers often include romantic scenes in movies because of audience preference.

“The average Nollywood script says, ‘kiss passionately,’ because that’s what sells. But I believe there are braver ways to explore affection on screen,” he said.

Despite the attention his roles attract, Etim-Effiong maintained that faith, focus, and family remain his guiding principles.

“When you’re a focused person, you don’t let naysayers get to you,” he said. “You just do your job and move with purpose.”
