• Tiwa Savage Drops Highly Anticipated Fourth Album “This One Is Personal”

Award-winning Nigerian singer and Afrobeats powerhouse, Tiwa Savage, has officially released her fourth studio album, This One Is Personal, her first full-length project in five years.

The 15-track body of work, which dropped on Friday across all digital platforms, explores themes of love, heartbreak, resilience, motherhood, and self-discovery, wrapped in Tiwa’s signature soulful and captivating sound.

The album includes standout songs such as I’m Done, Angel Dust, You4Me, On the Low featuring Skepta, Holding It Down, 10%, and Twisted. Other tracks include Scared of Love, Pray No More, Addicted featuring Taves, This One Is Personal (Interlude), Will I Run Again?, For One Night, You’re Not the First, and Change featuring James Fauntleroy.

Unlike her past projects, Tiwa kept the features minimal, working only with Skepta, Taves, and James Fauntleroy. She explained that the decision was intentional, ensuring the album reflected her personal journey without being overshadowed by collaborations.

In a heartfelt note to fans on her X page, Tiwa wrote:

“This project is so close to my heart, and I poured every part of me into it. Please cherish it, because This One Is Personal. This album is my story. I wanted you all to feel me in every song, so I kept the features limited.”

She revealed that the album was recorded across Lagos, London, San Francisco, and Nashville, capturing both her global experiences and deep connection to her Nigerian roots.

During a fan Q&A session, Tiwa emphasized that the project was more about authentic connection than numbers, saying the few features were chosen for their ability to complement her vision and add emotional depth to the storytelling.

Her last studio album, Celia, was released in 2020. With This One Is Personal, Tiwa Savage signals a bold return, offering fans an intimate glimpse into her life, balancing stardom, motherhood, and self-discovery.

  • "Real Men, Real Vibes": Why Skepta's Authentic Masculinity Is Turning Heads in the Industry

“He’s got this raw masculinity, but also a deep respect for his culture and for women. He’s not performing — he’s authentic. And in this industry, that’s rare,” she said.

Many believe her words go beyond Skepta himself — they reflect a cultural shift. In an industry often flooded with ego and immaturity, Skepta stands out for blending street credibility with cultural pride and emotional depth. His presence redefines what it means to be a modern man in music.
