VIDEO: Enugu Vigilantes Kill Young Man Over False Theft Allegation

A young man, Nosike Madueke (popularly called Wojuwo), has been beaten to death by members of a vigilante group in Amagu Iwollo Oghe, Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State, following a false claim that he stole a woman’s clothes.

Witnesses said the vigilantes, led by the community’s CSO, Chukwuebuka Hillary Ngwueche (aka Osuofia), tied Madueke and assaulted him with machetes, guns, and irons until he died. A video showed the victim being paraded, beaten, and later lying lifeless on the ground.

Sources allege this is the third killing linked to the vigilante group, accusing them of repeatedly targeting people from Madueke’s community.

Police are yet to issue an official statement, though the case has been reported to the State CID.

Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze is dead.

Veteran Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze has passed away at the age of 75.

It was gathered that he died on Friday following a battle with prostate cancer.

Tom Njemanze, who gained fame in the 1990s, is renowned for his powerful performances in iconic films such as Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love.

Known for his expressive delivery and commanding screen presence, he remains a cherished figure in Nigerian cinematic history.

Colleagues, friends, family, and fans have continued to pay tribute to the veteran actor, offering prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul and asking God to give his family the strength to bear the loss.

DAILY POST recalls that in a video posted via his Instagram page, the filmmaker Stanley Ontop disclosed that Njemanze had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and needed money for urgent surgery.
