It’s a Lie, Naira Marley Bullied My Son – Late Mohbad’s Father Reacts to the Singer’s Recent Statements.
Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has dismissed Naira Marley’s claims of innocence, insisting that the Marlian Music boss bullied his son while he was alive.
Speaking in an interview , Aloba said contrary to Marley’s recent video statement where he denied involvement in Mohbad’s troubles and death, his son suffered harassment under the singer’s watch. Marley had claimed he only tried to guide Mohbad after discovering he was allegedly using illicit substances.
Aloba, however, maintained otherwise: “I went to see Naira Marley over some of the things Mohbad had said, and that was all. But later, I personally witnessed other incidents. There were about three people present at the time—two are still alive today. It’s a Lie, Naira Marley Bullied My Son – Late Mohbad’s Father Reacts to the Singer’s Recent Statements. Atiku Abubakar has said his priority is a better Nigeria, not a desperate quest to be president.
He made this known on Saturday in Lagos at an affirmation ceremony where some PDP & Labour Party leaders formally defected to the ADC. He was represented at the event by Prof. Ola Olateju.
The former PDP candidate, who recently left the party with other opposition figures to join the ADC, stressed that his political journey is about building a prosperous & secure nation. “Atiku Abubakar’s plan is to build a better Nigeria. It’s not about him being president at all costs but about ensuring good governance that delivers for Nigerians,” Olateju said on his behalf.
According to him, the ADC represents more than just a political party, describing it as a movement for national repositioning & a new beginning for Nigeria. He noted that Nigerians are facing hardship due to the removal of fuel subsidy & rising inflation but expressed confidence that the country can achieve progress under committed & visionary leadership
One of them, who worked with Naira Marley, once came to report to me that Marley was beating Mohbad. “When we went to see him to apologise, he wasn’t even speaking respectfully.
People think I went there to collect money, but life is much more than what I want to eat.” On the issue of financial transactions, Mohbad’s father confirmed that Marley once raised concerns that the late singer was receiving payments through another account instead of his own.
“Naira Marley complained to me that he (Mohbad) was collecting money with an account that was not his. I also noticed he sent me money from a strange account, and I warned him that anything he wanted to give me should come from his personal account. That’s all I know about the account matter,” he explained.
Meanwhile, fresh revelations that Mohbad allegedly routed payments through his mother-in-law’s account have stirred further controversy. His sister-in-law, Karimo, stated: “Naira Marley revealed that it was Wunmi’s mother’s account number Mohbad presented for his payments, and nobody is saying anything. By now, I expect the SAN working for Baba Mohbad to have written a petition for that account to be investigated.”Atiku Abubakar has said his priority is a better Nigeria, not a desperate quest to be president. Again, Naira Marley Denies Involvement In Mohbad’s Death, Calls For Fresh Probe
Nigerian singer and Marlian Records boss, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has again denied allegations linking him to the death of Afrobeats star Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), who died on September 12, 2023.
In a video released Tuesday, Marley insisted he was abroad at the time, stressing that his passport proves he was in Amsterdam when Mohbad passed. He criticised investigators for detaining him and Sam Larry despite their absence from Nigeria, arguing that police should have focused on those with Mohbad in his final hours.
Marley also alleged that social media platforms distorted the narrative against him, denying him and his circle the chance to mourn. He called for a fresh, impartial investigation into the singer’s death.
Addressing label disputes, he maintained that Mohbad had a 50-50 profit-sharing deal and alleged that the late artiste struggled with drug-induced paranoia and suicidal tendencies.
Mohbad’s death sparked nationwide protests, vigils, and ongoing calls for justice, while his family continues to demand an independent review of the disputed toxicology results.
