OAU Students In Fear As Colleague Disappears After Buying Food.

‎Tension has gripped the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) community following the disappearance of Dorcas Oseghale, a 300-level student from the Department of Chemistry.

‎In a statement issued by the Great Ife Students’ Union on Friday, signed by the President, Adelani David, as well as the Secretary General, Habeeb Oke, Dorcas has been missing since Wednesday night.
‎
‎The union said it is working closely with the university management, security agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure her safe return.
‎
‎”This matter is being treated very seriously as we are working tirelessly to ensure the safe location of our missing colleague as quickly as possible,” the Union stressed.

‎According to the trending reports, it was said that the missing girl was going to buy food at the Maintenance hostel around 8:00pm, but has never returned.
‎
‎All efforts to reach out to her were futile as her phone has been switched off, leaving relatives and the entirety of Great Ife community in panic.
‎
‎Union leaders, alongside the missing student’s mother and friends, have visited the Ife Police Area Command to monitor the progress of the investigation.
‎
‎“We urge anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward without delay. Anonymity is assured,” the statement read.
‎
‎The Union also appealed to students to remain vigilant, move in groups, and look out for one another during this period, urging to support Dorcas with prayers, and not hesitate to provide any piece of information about her whereabouts.
