Gaining access into the apartment through the rear window and armed with two sharp kitchen knives, the suspect with dare devil precision, sliced the throat and stomach of the musician as he violently robbed him of his wearing apparels including Gold, Necklace, Diamond Ring and Bracelets worth millions of naira.

In the course of the ugly incident, the suspect was alleged to have forcefully demanded for Lil Kesh’s bank details and cell phone passwords which he used to transact and purchase from a gold dealer based in Tejuosho Yaba, Lagos of gold worth five million two hundred thousand naira.

The suspected armed robber was said to have personally proceeded to claim the gold after leaving Kesh in his pool of blood. The Kano State Police Command has arrested two suspects linked to the robbery and attempted murder of popular Singer Lil-Kesh, who resides in Bera Estate, Chevron, Lagos.

The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Matthew Adewole and his accomplice, Mukhtar Muhammad, were apprehended in Unguwu Ukwu quarters, Kano, and later transferred to the Lagos State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

Police spokesperson Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said in a statement on Saturday that the arrests followed credible intelligence and community collaboration. He disclosed that Adewole confessed to attacking Lil-Kesh on August 19, 2025, during which the victim suffered severe injuries, including a deep cut to the neck.

According to Kiyawa, the suspects forced the victim to transfer ₦2,120,000 from his account to Muhammad’s account using his mobile phone.

He added that the operation aligned with Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun’s directive to boost intelligence-driven policing through community engagement and strategic partnerships.

Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, praised the officers involved for their diligence and thanked the public for their cooperation, assuring continued efforts to safeguard lives and property.

Singer Lil Kesh Reportedly Stabbed in Lagos, Multimillion-Naira necklace stolen

Nigerian music star Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh, was reportedly attacked in Lagos late on Tuesday, August 20, 2025, in what eyewitnesses have described as a violent armed assault.

According to multiple reports, the “Shoki” crooner was stabbed in the neck during the incident, while part of his ear was severed. His attackers were also said to have made away with his jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Lil Kesh was rushed to a medical facility, where doctors successfully stitched his ear and treated other injuries. Sources close to the matter say the rapper is currently recovering from the ordeal, though the full extent of his condition has not yet been disclosed.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear. Neither the singer nor his management team has issued an official statement regarding the incident.
