  • Nollywood actor James Ikechukwu Esomugha, popularly known as Jim Iyke, has sparked online debate after claiming that medical doctors are not trained to heal patients.

Speaking in an interview with TV reality star and host of Echoo Room, Teddy A, the actor suggested that the health sector prioritizes profit over patient recovery.

According to him, keeping patients dependent on hospital visits is more lucrative for doctors than curing them completely. “There’s a GMO everywhere. The orthodox medicines; the lies. If I say it anywhere, it upsets them [medical practitioners],” Jim Iyke stated.

“Medical doctors are basically trained all through their career not to heal. It’s big pharma business. If they tell you what to take and they heal you, you’re not a customer anymore and they won’t make money. That’s a trillion-dollar industry.”

His remarks, which point to the healthcare industry as a profit-driven system, quickly went viral and triggered mixed reactions from the public.
