These are the published child-safety standards of Fintter Technology Enterprise, the Nigerian operator of Fintter. They apply across the Fintter website and mobile applications.

Immediate danger

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted adult now. Do not wait for an online report. In Nigeria, contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service for your location.

Report something on Fintter

  1. Use Report on the post, comment, message, profile, or other content so our team receives the correct reference.
  2. Block the account if you want to stop direct interaction.
  3. For urgent child-safety or credible-threat reports, email support@fintter.com with the subject “URGENT SAFETY REPORT”. Include links, usernames, dates, and what happened—but do not forward illegal sexual images of a child.

For students

  • Keep your password, address, routine, live location, financial details, and intimate information private.
  • Be cautious when someone asks to move a conversation off Fintter, keep a secret, send money, or share images.
  • Do not meet an online contact alone. Tell a parent, guardian, teacher, counsellor, or another trusted adult.
  • Remember that verified badges help with authenticity but are not a guarantee of someone’s intentions.

For parents and guardians

Talk regularly about who your child communicates with, review privacy settings together, and agree on what should never be shared. If required by law, children may only use Fintter with your consent. You can contact us to ask about a child’s account, but we will verify your identity and authority before sharing or changing information.

For educators, counsellors, and schools

Keep clear professional boundaries, use institutional accounts and channels, avoid unnecessary one-to-one private contact, and follow your safeguarding duties. Never ask a student for credentials or intimate/private material. Report risk promptly even if the relevant interaction started elsewhere.

How we respond

We prioritise credible threats, child exploitation, grooming, self-harm risk, and non-consensual intimate content. We may preserve relevant records, restrict contact or visibility, suspend accounts, and make legally required reports. We limit details shared with reporters to protect privacy and the integrity of reviews.

Our child-safety contact

The designated contact for child-safety standards and reports is the Fintter Safety Team at support@fintter.com. Reports are handled under applicable Nigerian law and may be referred to the Nigeria Police Force, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, or another competent authority where appropriate.

Evidence and privacy

Keep links, usernames, and times. Screenshots may help, but never download, copy, or email suspected child sexual abuse material. A good-faith safety report does not violate our rules. Information from a report is used to investigate, protect users, and meet legal obligations.
