Paul Ibe, media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has fired back at Senator Adams Oshiomhole over his recent comments describing Atiku as being “consumed by politics.”
Oshiomhole made the remark during an appearance on Channels Television over the weekend while reacting to Atiku’s criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s trip to Plateau State for the burial of the mother of APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.
Atiku had slammed Tinubu for showing “a lack of empathy” toward Nigerians facing killings across the country while attending a social event.
Responding, Oshiomhole said:
“I have sympathy for Atiku. He has allowed himself to be consumed by politics.”
But in a swift and fiery response on Tuesday, Paul Ibe accused Oshiomhole of hypocrisy and fear of Atiku’s political influence.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Ibe wrote:
“I have sympathy for Oshiomhole. He is tailoring sycophancy with a designer touch and has allowed himself to be consumed by the hate and fear of @atiku.”
