Oyetola Confident of APC Victory in 2026 Osun Governorship Election
Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s chances ahead of the 2026 governorship election in the state.
Oyetola made the remark on Monday, September 29, 2025, during a special prayer session held at his residence in Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area, to mark his 71st birthday.
The event drew family members, political associates, party stakeholders, and well-wishers who joined in thanksgiving and prayers for his life, family, and political career, as well as for peace and progress in Osun State and Nigeria.
Speaking at the gathering, Oyetola said the APC in Osun continues to grow stronger through unity and cooperation among its members. He urged stakeholders to preserve the prevailing atmosphere of peace, stressing that collective strength and understanding remain the foundation for political success.
“Our party is standing firm in unity. By God’s special grace, the APC will emerge victorious in the 2026 gubernatorial election,” he said.
Reflecting on his personal journey, the minister expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and for the support he has received over the years from people across different spheres.
He encouraged members of the APC to remain steadfast, adding that the party is well-positioned to reclaim leadership in Osun State through dedication and teamwork.
