Ganduje, Barau, and Kano APC Leaders Mobilise for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, September 25, 2025, former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje joined Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and other Kano stakeholders in reaffirming their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

The strategic gathering brought together key party figures who highlighted President Tinubu’s achievements since assuming office.

Speaking at the event, Barau Jibrin, who represents Kano North Senatorial District, underscored Kano’s pivotal role in Nigeria’s political landscape. He assured that the state would remain central in strengthening APC ahead of the next general elections, pointing to several federal projects that directly impact citizens’ lives.

Federal lawmaker Hon. Abubakar Bichi praised President Tinubu for prioritizing infrastructure in Kano, noting that ongoing road projects have improved connectivity and boosted economic activity. He described the initiatives as clear evidence of the president’s commitment to the region.

Other party leaders echoed similar sentiments, stressing that the administration’s achievements—ranging from road construction to wider federal presence—must be amplified at the grassroots to consolidate support.

Addressing the stakeholders, Ganduje emphasized the importance of unity and consistency, urging APC members in Kano to continue communicating the president’s successes to the people.

“Strong communication with the grassroots remains one of the most effective ways of consolidating the president’s support base,” Ganduje said.

Barau Jibrin also reassured members that the Tinubu administration remains attentive to the needs of Kano and the northern region at large. He pledged that continuous collaboration between federal and state leaders would further expand development across the zone.

The meeting, attended by prominent APC leaders, served as a reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to rally behind President Tinubu and prepare early for 2027.

Hon. Bichi dismissed criticisms suggesting the president was neglecting the North, saying:

“So for someone to say Mr President is not interested in the North or in Kano State is all politics.”

With Ganduje, Barau, Bichi, and other heavyweights leading the charge, the APC in Kano signaled its determination to retain its influence and secure Tinubu’s victory in the next presidential election.
