The family of Ruth Otabor, sister of BBNaija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has announced her passing on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at about 6:30 a.m., following injuries from a road accident involving a Dangote truck in Auchi, Edo State. In a statement issued through Eko Solicitors & Advocates, the family confirmed Ruth’s death and requested privacy to mourn their daughter, sister, and mother. Funeral arrangements will be communicated later. Ruth, a fresh graduate of Auchi Polytechnic, had undergone an amputation after the accident on August 13 and had been battling for her life.
