How AAUA Students Were Abducted and Murdered By Landlord — Police Reveal Details.

New details have emerged on the tragic abduction and murder of two students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Friday Abah (25) and Eloho Okah (19), who went missing on June 20.

Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, confirmed on Wednesday that the victims were kidnapped by armed robbers and later killed. Okah was also raped before being murdered. Lawal said the police began investigating following a petition filed by the victim’s family on June 24.

Forensic tracking led detectives to Lagos, where one Abdul Mohammed Mubarak, 38, was found with an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the students. He confessed to buying the phone from one Ojo Michael, who was arrested in Aramoko-Ekiti. The victims’ Lexus RX 350 was also recovered. Michael confessed to participating in the crime and named Oladele Femi—the landlord of one of the victims—as the mastermind.

Femi allegedly recruited Michael and another accomplice, “Kola” (still at large), to abduct and rob the students. ₦800,000 was withdrawn from Abah’s account during captivity.

According to police, Okah unmasked Michael’s identity, prompting her and her friend’s execution to prevent exposure. Their bodies were dumped in different locations between Agbado and Ode-Ekiti.

Femi has also been arrested and confessed to initiating the plan. The female victim’s body was recovered near Ode-Ekiti and taken for autopsy. Efforts are ongoing to retrieve Abah’s remains, believed to be dumped in a river. Lawal described the case as a heartbreaking example of premeditated violence and betrayal, pledging justice for the victims.

AAUA Student Union President, Akeem Ologbon, called the incident devastating, stating that the union acted swiftly by involving security agencies to aid in locating the students.
