Fayose Releases Documents Showing Oyo Governor Makinde Received N50 Billion from Tinubu’s Government After Ibadan Explosion

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has released documents claiming that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde received N50 billion from the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a special intervention fund following the January 2024 Ibadan explosion. According to Fayose, only N4.5 billion of the fund was released to victims, while the remainder was allegedly diverted to support Makinde’s presidential ambitions, sparking tensions within the PDP. Fayose challenged Makinde to sue him and stated he has additional proof of undisclosed intervention funds provided to the Oyo State Government by Tinubu’s administration.
