A member of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association has been arrested in Kwara South after allegedly being found in possession of a rifle reportedly issued through the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) for security operations. The arrest, which followed residents’ suspicions after the suspect was seen moving around with the weapon, has intensified concerns over the proliferation of arms and the involvement of non-state actors in security arrangements in the state.
