Suspected Bandits Invade Osun Community, Kidnap Former Customs Officer, Kill Resident While Fleeing Through Farmlands

Suspected bandits on Monday night attacked Ora-Igbomina in Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun State, abducting a former Nigerian Customs Service officer and killing a resident during their escape. Community leaders said the assailants ambushed the victim at his residence before fleeing through nearby farmlands, where they allegedly shot a farmer who was working with his 10-year-old son. The Osun State Police Command confirmed the kidnapping and said tactical teams, supported by vigilantes and forest guards, have been deployed to rescue the victim and apprehend the suspects as investigations continue.
