Operatives of the Force Intelligence Department–Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT), working with the Kwara State Police Command, have dismantled a bandit supply route in Kwara State, arresting two suspected kidnappers and arms couriers during an intelligence-led operation along the Omu-Aran–Oko Road. The suspects, identified as Abubakar Mohammed Lawal and Abubakar Manu, were intercepted on December 13, 2025, with items allegedly meant for bandits hiding in the Oro-Ago forest. Recovered items included walkie-talkies, a military-style water bag, a rechargeable torchlight, and a face cap. Police sources said the suspects confessed to supplying logistics and arms to criminal groups and revealed links to a notorious bandit leader, Nagala Danladi, who reportedly commands over 300 armed men terrorising communities across Kwara, Kano, and Niger states.
