Odesa was plunged into a complete blackout overnight as Russia carried out its most massive attack on the region’s energy system since 2022.

Around ten electrical substations and a thermal power plant were damaged. Fires broke out following the strikes, with residential buildings and administrative facilities also hit. Four people were injured.

Local authorities say that nearly the entire city remains without electricity, heating, and water.
