Tinubu’s Aide Sunday Asefon Accused of Harassment and Threats by Estranged Wife Sunday Asefon Adedayo, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Student Engagements, has been accused by his estranged wife of abandonment, harassment and threats to her safety. Mrs. Asefon alleges that her husband left the family for three years, engaged in an affair with a travel agent he introduced during their planned relocation to Canada, and used his political influence along with loyalists in student unions to intimidate her. She recounts multiple incidents of threats, coordinated attacks, and interference with police investigations. Living alone with her two children in Ibadan, she says she fears for her life. Asefon, however, denies orchestrating any threats, claiming family disputes and counter-accusations from both sides are being misrepresented. He maintains that they have been separated for years and insists he has no reason to harm her.
