Four Killed as Terrorists Launch Midnight Attack on Tiv Community in Kogi State
At least four people have been confirmed dead after terrorists carried out a midnight attack on a Tiv settlement in Idofin, Yagba East LGA of Kogi State. According to community sources, the armed attackers invaded around midnight, firing sporadically and forcing residents to flee into nearby bushes for safety. Bodies of the victims were recovered shortly after the gunmen retreated and taken to the General Hospital in Isanlu.
This latest assault comes amid rising insecurity along the Oshokoshoko–Obajana highway, where travellers were recently stranded for hours during another terrorist ambush. Viral video footage shows scores of commuters trapped as gunmen reportedly exchanged gunfire with security operatives.
