Police spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the incident, describing it as a cult-related assault and stating that tactical teams have been deployed to track the kidnappers and secure the students’ release. A student who escaped the attack recounted how the gunmen killed the hostel’s security dog, fired shots at fleeing occupants, and pursued her into the darkness. Police say investigations are ongoing as the search intensifies for the missing students.
