BREAKING: Terrorists Attack CAC Church In Kwara, Kill Three, Abduct Pastor and Worshippers

Panic gripped Eruku, a community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, on Tuesday evening after terrorists attacked a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), killing three worshippers and abducting several others, including the pastor.

According to eyewitnesses, the armed men stormed the church during a meeting and opened fire immediately, forcing people to flee in different directions.

Three worshippers were killed on the spot before the attackers rounded up others at gunpoint and marched them into the bush. The exact number of abducted persons is still unknown.

“The gunmen came in suddenly and started shooting. Three people died instantly,” a resident told SaharaReporters. “Others were gathered and taken away through the bush paths.”

The terrorists reportedly escaped through forest routes linking Eruku to nearby communities, leaving residents in fear and confusion.

Earlier reports indicated that heavily armed attackers had entered the town through a major access route, firing sporadically and forcing travellers and locals to abandon their vehicles and run into surrounding bushes. Sustained gunfire was heard across the community as the incident unfolded.

One traveller, who hid in the bush, shared a shaky video showing the chaos, pleading for security intervention as gunshots echoed in the background.

As of now, neither the Kwara State Police Command nor the state government has issued an official statement on the attack.
