Peter Obi Donates ₦2 Million to FCT Primary School
Yesterday, October 9th, I arrived in Abuja from Rome, where I had attended a series of meetings earlier in the day. Upon arrival, I was informed by Dr. Moses Paul (@drmopaul), the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the upcoming AMAC Chairmanship election scheduled for February 21st, 2026, about the difficult situation facing a public primary school in Tungan Nasara, FCT — particularly the poor state of its toilet facilities.
In keeping with my unwavering commitment to supporting education across our nation, I immediately visited Tungan Nasara LEA Primary School to assess the condition firsthand. I was deeply saddened by what I saw — the toilets were in deplorable shape, posing serious health risks to both pupils and teachers. No child should have to learn in such conditions.
As an initial step, I made a personal donation of ₦2 million to support the construction of proper toilet facilities and to help improve the overall learning environment. I have also pledged to revisit the school to monitor the progress of the project.
Our children represent the future of our nation. The quality of their learning environment should reflect the value we place on that future. As leaders, we must continue to prioritise education and the welfare of our young ones — ensuring that every Nigerian child can learn in a safe, healthy, and dignified environment.
Education remains the most vital investment in Nigeria’s development.
