Elon Musk’s Father Errol Accused of Sexual Abuse by Family Members — Report

Tech billionaire Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, has been accused of sexually abusing five of his children and stepchildren since 1993, according to a report by The New York Times.

The Times, citing court and police records as well as interviews and correspondence, said the allegations may help explain Elon Musk’s strained relationship with his father, who he rarely speaks about publicly. Guardian US also noted that family members at times reached out to the Tesla and SpaceX chief for help.

Errol Musk, 79, dismissed the claims, calling them “nonsense” and “false.” He told the Times that relatives had fabricated the accusations to “extort” his eldest son, Elon.

Allegations Dating Back Decades

According to the Times, the earliest allegation was made in 1993 when a four-year-old stepdaughter said Errol Musk touched her inappropriately. A decade later, she alleged he was caught sniffing her underwear.

The report also said he was accused of abusing two daughters and a stepson. At least three police investigations were launched, the Times reported — two ended without charges, while the outcome of the third was unclear.

The paper added that Musk, who has nine children and stepchildren and has been married three times, “maintains a powerful grip over much of the family.” Elon Musk did not respond to requests for comment.

Errol Musk’s Response

“There was no evidence because this is nonsense,” Errol Musk told the Times, maintaining the allegations were fabricated.

Elon Musk’s Past Remarks

Though Elon Musk has not commented on the latest report, he has previously described his father in harsh terms. In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, he said Errol had done “almost every evil thing you could possibly think of.”

“My dad will have a carefully thought-out plan of evil. He will plan evil,” Musk said at the time.
