Go for It!” — Odion Ighalo Urges Victor Osimhen to Consider £34M Saudi Offer Amid Transfer Frenzy

Former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has thrown his weight behind fellow Nigerian star Victor Osimhen, encouraging him to consider a blockbuster move to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, where a jaw-dropping £34 million-per-year deal is reportedly back on the table.

With only 12 months left on his Napoli contract and a £64 million release clause, Osimhen is at a critical crossroads. Although Premier League titans like Manchester United and Arsenal remain interested, Al-Hilal’s offer is hard to ignore—and Ighalo believes it could be a career-defining opportunity.

“If he asked me, of course I’d say go,” Ighalo told News Central TV. “It’s a win-win—whether he moves now or later. The Saudis came for him last year, he said no. Now they’re back—and they’ll keep coming.”

Ighalo, who has played for Al-Hilal, Al-Shabab, and Al-Wehda, described Osimhen as “a classic number nine” and slammed the tendency of Africans to underrate their own talent.

“You can’t talk about the world’s best strikers and not mention Victor,” he said. “He’s got the hunger, the power, and the mentality.”

While Osimhen is reportedly weighing interest from top clubs in England, names like Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak are also emerging as top striker targets—especially for Manchester United.

As the clock ticks down, Osimhen must choose between sporting glory in Europe and financial security in Saudi Arabia—a decision that could reshape his legacy. Either way, Ighalo believes the 26-year-old is poised to win.
